Need help with fuel problems!!!!!

How to test and replace a IDI vacuum pump with a grove pulley.

Gauges all dropped.
Had the same thing happen to me driving to Alabama from OK -- '93 7.3 IDI F350. Checked with Ford, who said to replace the Speed Sensor on the rear end. Did that, and no problems with that since -- that was around 2004 -- BW42- BW42

Source for the return line hose?
About 2013 I bought a complete fuel return kit for my 93 7.3 idi. Wish I remembered from where. A couple of years ago, the cloth-covered hose that came with the kit began to seep fuel -- every piece of that hose. 6.9 IDI Hard Start/Air Intrusion

93 IDI with E4OD.
If your tranny shifts hard, check the overdrive indicator on the shift lever. If it is flashing, your tranny is in limp mode. You can try disconnecting both batteries ground for about 5 minutes, that will reset the computer. Not really recommended, but a quick fix until the next time it goes...- BW42

E4OD issue
About the tack sensor -- Haven't checked it yet -- years ago, all dash gauges went crazy -- replaced the VSS and fixed that. Since then, everything in the dash has been very steady. I'll check the sensor when I get back to work on the problem -- Thanks -- BW- BW42

cost of E4OD rebuild
RE -- the Transmission Bench videos -- I'm a retired opera singer, in my 80th year, and I just completed the rebuild on my '93 e4od, non-turbo diesel. Spent about $1200.00 on the rebuild, took my time and about 2-3 hours a day. Transmission runs and shifts better than the last twenty years...- BW42
