    sorry for the double message. I dont exactly understand what the function of these regulators would be. Do they just keep the engine from running when some value like oil pressure is too low or high? does it have the ability to turn the engine off?

    Im gonna grab a gauge tomorrow see what I'm currently getting while I wait for a proper fuel pump. Do you see any immediate danger in running the much less powerful pump until the new one gets in. I guess I dont really understand the dangers of too low fuel pressure.

    When i bought my ambulance the mechanical fuel pump had been cut off and a fuel pump shoddily put in. Id like to clean up the mess they left. What is the fuel flow rate needed for these IDI engines. Here is the current fuel pump that im trying to figure out if I need to replace.

    hacked89 that is what i will do for the voltage at the alternator. I also plan a independent one on each of the batteries so I can detect a bad cell. luckily I have a independent voltage and amperage gauge that I will be able to tap into right where my microcontroller is going luckily.

    I can set it in the software so that the voltage change goes at a set increase/decrease speed over time. Im thinking video it see how fast the gauges moves and set it roughly to that change in the app gauge. Does that seem like the direction to go?

    Im curious what you mean. Im not super fast but I have decent pickup and can get to speed. I do go up steep hills pretty slow but I figured that was just par for the course. What exactly are the pros and cons of a N/A engine with a 3.25 gears set.
