I like OilEater. Apply with spray bottle, wait a few minutes then just hose off. Seems to be safe on paint. In addition to Amazon, Costco and WalMart have it.

The F26 D and E have the same dimensions except the fill neck of the F26D has a baffle (?) that has to be removed. The F26E does not have this and usually costs about $25 more than the F26D. RockAuto sells both of these made by Spectra Premium and they both are of steel construction. They...
Also, when my buddy installed the 38 gallon tank, he used longer bolts on the spare tire mount and still wound up with 14" of ground clearance with his F-350 single rear truck.
No difference between gas and diesel tanks of the appropriate year. There was a change in diameter of the fuel sensor unit hole in the tank around 1988. The 1988 and newer have the larger sensor hole. However, gas and diesel fuel sensor units are different. The diesel unit is a two wire unit...
At least from 88-97 tank sender diameter is the same. Older ones have smaller diameter hole in tank for sender. Diesel senders only have two wires, no fuel pump in tank.
I like playing with the OBS 7.3 PSD in particular, but have a 6.9 Banks turbo'ed and a 7.3 factory turbo IDI in the herd. Currently finishing up a 7.3 with 350 injectors, 72 mm turbo and some other stuff for my OBS. I really dislike the SD look so am fixing up the OBS SuperCab longbed as a DD...
Well, its in bypass in the Max A/C position for most people who install one. So just putting it in Heat makes sure there's flow to the heater. A few have installed it for operation in the vent and A/C positions also. The mod actually works out pretty good and is simple and cheap to install...
As a check for the pickup tube being cracked, back the truck up a ramp. That will submerge the entire pickup tube so it doesn't suck air. Then try starting.
I get about 4 gallons of residual water left after a drain without pulling the block plugs. So, it winds up being 50/50 mix water/anti-freeze/FW-16 after adding the anti-freeze/FW-16. About 3.5 gallons to be exact. The rest is added to the degas bottle. So, its not straight anti-freeze...
On the IDI's its a must to use the anti-cavitation additive FW-16. Distilled water isn't going to help you there. Inernational used to use precharged SCA water filters, so there was no warning to add FW-16 in the manuals rewritten by Ford. More than a few IDIs went down the drain.
On the...
It is debatable if the Melling is superior to the stock Ford.
The Melling may have an improved georotor design but the Melling has a georotor only 0.93" thick, the Ford georotor is 1.300" thick. I measured them myself. One of my buddys installed a Mellings with a Twin Terminator and high...
I just changed my Low Pressure Oil Pump. LPOP mounts on the outside of the front cover. It is on an engine stand though. Just pulled off the damper, removed the old pump, installed new pump and new damper. Did not have to remove front cover.
But I'm a noob, so what do I know?:dunno
