    Spindle Nut Socket Size?

Not only do you have 19 spline shafts, I'll bet you have 48 splines in the hub itself and a Dana 50 should have I think 55 splines. Like suggested put a tape measure across the face of your lockout hub.

    Spindle Nut Socket Size?

If its a Dana 50 then that is the only one I've ever seen or heard of in my 20 years wrenching on these trucks with 19 spline outer shafts. Went outside and took my Dana 44 hub apart to show you that my spindle nuts are identical to yours and I remove them with the standard 4 prong socket...

    Spindle Nut Socket Size?

Your making way too much out of this. I have the exact same D44 ratcheting spindle nuts and bought a standard Dana 44 4-prong socket at my local Napa.

Bingo D50 30 spline stub shaft.... His is a D44.

    Spindle Nut Socket Size?

Very interesting since you have 19 spline shafts and dana 50 lockouts would be setup for 30 spline shafts.....

Take a tape measure and measure the diameter of the locking hub for us please.

    Spindle Nut Socket Size?

IIRC the Dana 50 should have 30 spline outer axle shafts. In your picture I only count 19 which would make it a D44 HD axle. Also those appear to be a standard ford ratchet style spindle nut, which take the standard 4 prong dana 44 socket.

    Do I need this?

With the cable controlled plow setup that small trigger wire on the solenoid goes into the cab to the T-handle or Joystick that controls the plow. When you move the control it grounds out the solenoid and sends power to the plow pump. That way the pump only runs when you are either lifting or...

If your not sure what wires do what then get out your volt meter or test light and go to town. Toggle the functions one by one and see which wire gets 12v.

Facet Duralift With Turned Up IP & Turbo

My 6.9 has a turbo and a turned up pump fed by a duralift and yesterday I hauled a tractor that was in the 12,000lbs range plus the trailer so someplace around 16k, and with my foot buried to the floor and EGT's holding at 1100 degrees I still had between 3 and 4 psi of fuel pressure.....

    Duralift not pumping enough fuel?

Haven't had any issues with mine. I routinely gross 20k + and my EGT's get way to high before I have to worry about fuel.

If you want direct fit just call up banks and order one. If you want to do a little work modify a PSD unit.

    Opened 10 1/4" diff..Hmmm

I have a lunchbox locker in mine and the only thing my truck gets used for is towing and hauling. Only time I notice it is when doing slow speed turning and maneuvering on pavement. Once you get used to it, it's very predictable and no big deal. Moving loaded trailers around the farm would be...

CL deal....not sure how he got this one past the smog nazis........

My last truck had a welded up D60 in the front and I DD'd it for close to 8 years like that and never had any complaints. If I needed 4x4 for snowy roads I would lock one hub in, but the truth is if you practice driving you really don't need 4x4. Get a good set of tires and put some weight in...

    6.9 turbo diesel help!

Pull the heads and go through them, new head gaskets and a set of head studs would be what I would do. Quick and painless job do do those things with the motor on a stand, pretty tough to do it in the truck.

Sharp 1985 for sale on CL, $10,000 though? Here we go again.....

I've been looking for a reasonable priced DMI rear bumper to rebuild and stick on my truck. Not much to rebuild but take it all apart and make sure the pivots and springs are all moving freely. Having said he is dreaming on his price.

    -5. stupid cold

Last week is was -18* and my truck had been sitting for at least a week without anyplace to plug it in. Hit my push button to find out my GP solenoid was shot. Luckly I had a warm tractor close so I plugged my "spit swap hoses" in and warmed the motor until it started up. Went to town and got a...

    0º is my 91 limit. What's yours?

Because there isn't always a plug available. I'm a logger/forester and when you park your truck for the day out in the woods the trees don't have 110v outlets on them to keep it warmed up. Or leave your truck in a parking lot someplace and they don't have plugs in the asphalt.....

Sqeaks When Hubs Are Locked In

To change an axle shaft joint you need to pull the tire, brake caliper, brake rotor/hub, then the spindle. Hardest part as said is removing the spindle. If you have a slide hammer I recommend getting a spindle puller for it, you will appreciate it.
