Sometimes it's right infront of you.
89 F-350 would not start. Started with new lift pump now have fuel to fuel filter. Bleed all the air out of fuel filter, cracked injectors truck ran for 2 minutes and then died, no start. Air bubble in fuel filter due to air intrusion and dirty filter. Replaced filter and new o-ring in filter...- jbuck

Need glow plug controller
1986 F250 6.9 Glow plug controller bad. I would like to go manual set up. Do i need to replace this if i go manual? How do i run the wiring for manual set up?- jbuck

No wait to start light

Injection pump or headgasket
Looking at a 1988 F-250 that does not run. Owner said it lost power and was blowing white smoke from exhaust. Mechanic (not diesel mechanic) told him he thought it was injection pump or injectors. Injection pump would be loss of fuel so would no fuel account for the white smoke? Looking at it...- jbuck

Need injection pump
89 F-450 7.3 Injection pump has gone bad. Anyone have experience with the remanufactured units on Ebay? Price is right. If not give me your thoughts on where to buy. Thanks- jbuck

1989 F350 5 speed keeps shutting off
Looking at a 1987 F-350 crew cab 5 speed 7.3. Truck starts fine and idles good but will not stay running when you take off. Any thoughts. Sounds like a air/fuel leak.- jbuck

Flexplate question
1986 Ford F-250 6.9 2wd c-6. NAPA has a listing for ring gear for flexplate so i am assuming that this is a two piece unit that can be repaired. Is the ring gear welded onor what? Ford does not make unit any longer. Need help.- jbuck

First Ford Diesel
Well my son and i took the plunge and purchased a 1986 F-250 6.9 2wd with c-6 , with 103 on it yesterday. The truck had been sitting for six months after starter failed and owner put wrong starter in and chewed up flexplate.
