ya you aint too far from me lol, and yes your right prep is the key which is why im doin a a week of wire brushing, and cleaning with brake kleen, and lordco u can get some wicked jb weld for a deasent price lol;Sweet
i checked the clearance on the oil pump and its good, so im just gonna jb weld it flush with the pan, then use a special asphalt paint over the bottom and sides of the pan so it will never rust
I can't Wait to here the old girl purr. I'll let you guys know how it turns out, and todays project is straight pipin' her and straighenin out the front clip

hey guys i cleaned the pan with brake kleen and found it has a dent with only 2 small cuts so my plan as of right now is to do what brdmh44 said and jb weld the dent and hole make it flush let it dry, then paint to match, i have some pics of the damage ill upload them onto this thread tonight...
