Hopefully I can get the truck in the shop in the next couple of days and check out the wiring harness and the return lines. I replaced all the return lines, orings and clamps about 5 years or so ago.
I had a couple of ZD9 plugs go bad last year. I ordered all new glow plugs(ZD9). Installed them, replaced all the bullet ends while I was doing these repairs. I also replaced the glow plug controller at this time. Previous to these glow plugs going bad my truck would start at 10 degrees as...
I just checked out the bushings. The sway bar is worn and it looks like a the rearward on the front springs are worn. Aslo the truck is occasionally making popping sounds under the driverside floor when turning.
Pushrod length on the master cylinder? I didnt measure anything on the master cylinder I just Swapped it and started bleeding brakes. This truck has never really had good brakes. But got worse when I had a line blow and I had to replace the abs valve and then the maste cylinder.
It looks like energy suspensions is the way to go. My big concerns is bolts. When replacing bolts in the rear suspension they all had to be torched. It looks like maybe there are two different size bolts in the front. I also think it is Interesting that they don't have metal sleeves on the...
I dontt think so on the hot brake fluid it does it even when you start the truck. I can stop the truck you just have to push the pedal almost to the floor. If I adjust the rear brakes anymore the rear wheels get a little grabby.
In the last year I have replaced the ABS valve on the frame and the master cylinder as well. I have spent hours bleeding the system and even removing the spring in the ABS valve as a test. I have been fighting pedal fade over he past few months.
I have replaced the brakes lines about 7 years ago when I replaced the calipers, rotors and pads. I had thought about replacing the hoses just as a precaution.
The drift was before the power steering box. My initial thought was the power steering box so I replaced it under warranty and replaced the power steering pump while I was in there.
My 94 is pulling to the right and the randomly drifts to the left. I have been fighting several problems lately. I had a power steering leak, I have replaced the gear box and the pump. I also had a sticking caliper on the passenger side. The truck randomly pulls to the right and then will...
well it looks like the code was a problem with the speed sensor. I installed an old one that I think was good and cleared the codes. I am going to drive it tomorrow and see what happens. I am hoping the newer sensor had just failed.
So I was driving home this morning at around 55 or 60 mph and all of the sudden the speedometer goes full scale. It held at around 90 mph and the mileage reading went blank until i started to slow down. Once i dropped to about 35 mph the speedometer came back along with the mileage reading...
The last time I checked the tps voltage it was. 1.19 with the engine off. Also thanks for the info about the plug locations. I am thinking that the problem has to be the computer unlocking the torque converter because it is not setting a code. I really wish we could monitor live data with these...
