overdrive question
Help! My overdrive is just begining to slip when towing or going up a very steep hill. Anyone know if the overdrive unit comes off with the trans in the truck or do you have to remove the tranny and dissassemble from the front?Its a 47re in a 97 diesel 4wd. Tire size vs. fuel mileage
Anyone have any personal experiance trying out different tire sizes and thier effect on fuel mileage? When I got my truck, it had 285/75's and I clocked my mileage at 24.5 combined city and hwy. heat shield question
Is anyone familier with the heat shield that goes around the turbo compressor for Cummins. It's the one that costs about 25 bucks and you have to drill and tap three holes, "in the non critical part of the compressor".Any down side to this thing? It says it does'nt retain heat in the turbo...- thirstyram
