Manual glow plug button good temp fix?

So you can you tell me exactly what you have done, are you running your own 12v switched wire to the white wire location or simply doing a ground through the push button, I want to do this on. My truck as well

Large auxiliary oil cooler pics install

You may be on to something. Right now the bypass isn’t hooked up as I need to grab one adapter fitting. I was kind of thinking the same thing that maybe I should leave the bypass out of this loop and make a separate return for it. I was a little worried that maybe the slow flow through it would...

Large auxiliary oil cooler pics install

No none yet. I tried to position them so they are right above the area in between the exhaust manifolds and inner fenders so most of it would drip down in between. When it’s running the fan at idle moves so much air no water would go down them let alone at higher engine speed. But I do plan to...

    Oil filter light

Ya something ain’t right. My truck cruising at 60 is usually at 300 egt, you might have an air leak or something going on with the facet pump as the oil filter light is indicative of vacuume present at the filter head meaning either there’s Air present or a lack of fuel

    6.9 IDI Hot Start Issue

Easiest way to tell is very a bottle of water, when it’s hard to start dump the whole bottle on the injection pump. it and it should fire right up. If it does you know your ip is worn. No matter if it was just “rebuilt”

Is your speedometer/ odometer and tach working?

    What's this?

Huh? When did I say that, If you have a hard time with mechanics understand that if it was referencing manifold pressure it would be a map. As it’s used in our trucks it’s a barometric sensor and labeled as such. Doesn’t mean it can’t be used for both but as is it’s a simple barometric sensor...

    What's this?

It’ll just tell the trans when to make certain shifts. If it malfunctions it would throw certain shift points out of wack. But usually they don’t go bad

    What's this?

it’s called a barometric sensor. If it was plugged to an intake tract it’s a map sensor!!! It’s quite simple. Just look up your part number like I posted and what do they call it? A barometric sensor
  17. Sidewinded_idi

    What's this?

They didn’t completely change anything. They relocated one to under the steering column. This sensor is a barometric sensor only nothing else!!!!
  18. Sidewinded_idi

    What's this?

Here it is on mine. As you can see it’s only input is atmospheric pressure no reference lines to the manifold. I went through this all a while ago it is indeed exactly as described a barometric reference sensor
  19. Sidewinded_idi

    What's this?

I’m sorry but a map sensor measures manifold pressure. The barometric sensor is exactly that. It measures atmospheric pressure to adjust shift points. It is a barometric sensor exactly as labeled. The gas ones also have the e40od that utilize the same input

    Relocated coolant overflow

Ya if your coolant system is in good shape you’ll probably be ok. Mine isn’t so it gets hot and cool so it moves a lot of fluid and I just noticed in the morning it would be sucked dry and when it would get hot and expand it would start to overflow it but again my system isn’t in the best shape...
