I have never tried delphi glowplugs but as a rule the delphi parts we use in the shop are excellant. You may have the glow plug relay sticking and constantly supplying power to them, burning them up.:dunno
Has anyone ever installed a hypermax intecooler on an old non gated ats turbo. I don't know what no of turbo that it is but it has a 3 in downpipe. The compressor side looks just like my old hypermax turbo on my super cab. Will the hypermax kit mount up to the old non gated turbos like that...
Hey Downey b I'm from Emporia. I just bought a 96 town and country with a 3.3 rod hangin out the side. That is a fun project. It took all weekend at the shop with the lift and help.
The odo shows 46,000 miles. It was a spray rig now its back to being a pickup. The local seed company owns it. I would guess that its correct given the vehicle history.
I have a 93 f-350 in the shop. It will not start unless you glow plug it twice or crank the hell out of it. Once started it runs great. I have checked the glow plugs they all ohmed out ok. I had a 4volt drop in the glow plug relay, so I replaced the controller. I replaced the injector...
I'm 29. We raised healers as kids they were a cross between ausies, dalmations and dingos. I now have a half border collie half blue healer that needs to have a certain encounter with a healer female and then be cut. I'm tired of hunting him down everytime a neighbor dog is in. The problem...
I don't know about the temp range but I have used bw parts in the shop I work at and had good luck. We spend over 60 grand a year at oreilly's and a large chunk of that goes towards borg parts. Not a bad chunk for me being the only tech
I always check my glow plugs with an ohm meter. They should have between .5 and 1.5 ohms. or so. I have used a test light but one with high or low resistance will be hard to find.
after talking to wix their thoughts were that since it was not rated for diesel that was the problem. I have taken an air hose and blown backwards through the filter and didn't remove and debris. I will cut this last one apart and look.
Could the fuel pump be leaking at the weep holes or into the motor? I have to replace the short hose from the frame to the fuel pump about every 18 months. Well its a couple thoughts hope they help.
Mal-Wart your source for cheap plastic crap! They have them back in the automotive section. Yes I have been desperate enough late at night to finish a project that I have wound up at wal mart.
The tanks are clean had the sending units out not to long ago. I called wix on that filter no 33033 it has a 20 micron rating but is not rated for diesel. The 33417 filter ujp front has a 12 micron rating. The techlline recommended for a good prefilter use a 33270 it has a 141 micron rating...
I have put a cheap inline filter on the frame ahead of my truck . Its a 3/8 inlet/outlet small round gas filter. I did this to protect my electric fuel pump . The problem is that I plug it every 2 weeks. I have run some bio and thought thats what was plugging them but I haven't ran any in a...
Hey good job. I will be happy when I am done with my new project. I bought a 97 town and country van with a blown motor. The book calls for 13 hrs to change it so far I have 12 hours in it with 3 or 4 to go. Hard work sucks but when your done you get to drive it. That always worth something.
Congrats man. My son and daughter light up my life. As I know your youngsters do. My wife just told me a couple of weeks ago that in may with God's blessings we will see the next member or members of our family.
I cheated. I bought a 4 door. I told my wife it was hers that way I can keep my supercab and have a 4 door. She drives it to work during the week. Mine is easier to get around town in. On the weekends going to church ropings rodeos or anywere else I drive hers. The only downside is it came...
I think that I will buy a couple. I will put one on my wifes truck and one in my tool box for a spare. I will probably try to get a few rebuild kits to.
Everytime I see a 92 to 94 idi with the serpentine setup at the shop its got problems. My friend had one and we had him carry 2 belts, a new tenisoner, and some way to get the boken tensioner bolt out. I like my old v belts. I up graded to gates fleet/truck belts and run an extra idler pulley...
