CTS turbo kit?
Old post! But......I have one to, installed on an 85 F250. From Kamloops. Works well. Produces about 10psi of boost. The truck came into my possession due to suspected bad head gaskets tho so I haven't run it much. The turbo is being "stored" on that truck till I do something with it.- Kevin 007

My Kent Moore timing light is no longer working and parts have been lost, im now attempting to use a brand new Snap-On Mt257 timing adaptor. Its easy to set up and get a timing light pulsing. But....do I need to mark 8.5 degrees or whatever my desired timing setting is, on the timing plate on...- Kevin 007

Its been several years since I have installed a fuel pressure gauge on anything. Whats the latest "go to" for quality fuel pressure gauges? Fuel questions
I run Stanadyne lubricity formula in almost every tank. Especially rotary pumped diesels. I don't notice any difference and don't even care to try a performance formula, I'm strictly after lubricity.- Kevin 007

2001 4R100 2wd Trans

Dual racor filters
Yeah I would install an electric pump on the frame rail near the tank, and push thru whatever filter setup that you install. Shouldn't overwork a pump. Just don't use a Mr gasket pump or whatever "el cheapo" pump is on the bargain bin shelf at the parts store I have a couple Racor 220's in...- Kevin 007

Noticed tonight in the dark, that the brake lights are on very dimly when the key is in the ON position. They work properly when the pedal is depressed, but I now realize that they have been very dimly lit with the key ON. I'm betting that this is effecting the TC lock up issues. Will look...- Kevin 007

Yeah adjusted it lower but to no avail. TC still not locking as it should. Might be time for a manual lock up mod. I like the mod but the truck will be driven by a few different people so I'm hesitant to have the mod done on this truck- Kevin 007

Ok good tip. So in theory, a lower V setting on the FIPL should cause the TC to lock earlier? I will try lowering it a bit and test drive. I'm a little concerned about the trans shifting too early then but we'll see how it goes.- Kevin 007

The MLPS was out of adjustment by just a fraction of an inch. And that seemed to fix the problem. The truck will shift great now right off the bat, no more manual shifting on the first attempt of going up through the gears. Probably the best shifting E40D that I have driven. No, there are no backup lights. Didn't even notice until you asked. So could that be a sign that its out of alignment? Its been some time since I aligned one. Truck in question is a 1992 F450 6.9l (engine has been swapped out at some point from a 7.3) 2wd, with a freshly installed new E4OD. 2001 7.3 PSD electric fuel pump life expectancy
Yup quality had taken a dive. I replace electric fuel pump on my 99 PSD wrecker every few years or couple thousand hours. I don't trust them. There was nothing coming from the valley, pretty much all dry in there, including under the turbo. really seemed to come from inside the bellhousing. Never did find out where it was coming from.
