    Another newbie question

Do you have the engine out of the truck on an engine stand? The rockers are actuated by Hydraulic lifters and push rods, no adjustment needed. If the push rods are that bad rust, I would get a new set, the copper color ball goes up into the rockers...

    Factory Trailer Harness?

Someone rigged up that so they could probably use it for 2 different trailers, one with brakes, one without. Your gonna have to find out where all the wires go up front. #1 plug has the Blue (Brakes) - Orange/Red (Battery) - Black ? These wires have to go up front someplace. #2 plug...

    Factory Trailer Harness?

On a tow package, there should be a Blue and a Orange or Red wires wrapped up in the harness at the rear and in the harness by the firewall. The Blue is the 12 VDC brake power, the Red or Orange is the trailer battery 12 VDC charge wire. Normally you have to get a TEE pigtail connector for the...

6.9 Fresh rebuild, now truck won't run.

i SURE HOPE YOU HAVE SOMETHING LIKE AN ENGINE HOIST HOLDING THAT ENGINE WHILE IT'S ON THE STAND. If and when it starts, if you don't, it will roll over in the blink of an eye.

Can a newbie get a little help

YUP that's a glow plug controller, the solid state kind. It's a hell'va job to add a Tach, lots of wiring you don't have. Ask IDIoit.

    Wooow

Flush flush flush before installing the filter, unless you have deep pockets for filters elements. If you have City water, you don't have to use distilled water to flush, even if you have well water, use that, then do a final flush with distilled.

    Power door lock relay location

According to my 89 manual, there is NO relay for the trucks, the Van's do have two relays. Is the truck a CC or a SC? If you need the wiring diagram, PM me only, might not see your thread again. I would think the wiring is the same or close to it. OH hell, here it is anyhow.

Can a newbie get a little help

If you keep the IP that's on the 7.3. You need to take the VRV (Vacuum Regulator Valve) also the actuating dowel off the 6.9 and put them on the 7.3 IP. You should still have the vacuum lines already there. The 7.3 IP has a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which you won't need with a C6 tranny...

The Gear Hunter - E40D Shifting Problem

Don't know where your at in BC, but riotwarrior is in Cawston BC by Penticton. Pretty knowledgeable on these IDI's. He can also time it for you. You said NPS. Do you mean MLPS. (Manual Lever Position Sensor)? If the Tach isn't working like it should, your probably driving in LIMP mode...

Check E4OD fluid level with no dipstick tube?

The Vans take the longer dip stick tube and stick. Does the tranny still have the short tube in it? If you can't find a tube and stick, I have a new tube for a truck, but no stick for it, but I can measure my stick for length. The tube cost me $45, will sell for that shipped. Like you...

Should I buy? 1994 F-350 IDI Turbo Reg Cab Manual (Hard Start)

A T-19 is just another manual trans, 4 speed, ZF5 is 5 with 5th OD. Should have mentioned to replace or check the glow plugs, if there anything but Motorcraft/Beru replace them. Cancer don't look to bad, that's two common places on Fords.

Should I buy? 1994 F-350 IDI Turbo Reg Cab Manual (Hard Start)

The PO's hard starting is probably due to only one battery and that's probably in not to good of condition. I would bet with two batteries and good glow plug system, it would fire right off. When first starting, the GP system sucks a lot of power out of the batteries, then it takes 600 to 700...

Truck won't crank possible water in intake.

You said your parked up hill. If you have a 1/4 tank of fuel or less and the shower head pickup is disintegrated or fell off you won't be sucking fuel, just air. If that's the case, add another 5 or more gallons of fuel. Shower head pic below. There cheap from ebay, dealer is always more...

    Tranny or torque converter......

Caution. Any time the TC disintegrate like that, some of the parts can return to the tranny. If you have any aux coolers up front, it's really hard to flush out any debris. Put a Magnafine filter in the return line, it has a magnet in it to catch any metal. When you pull the tranny pan, you...

    99 super duty engine miss

I would sure replace the UVCH gasket before I did anything. Had the same problem on the drivers side on my 99.5. The pass side is a bitch to change, lots of stuff to remove. Haven't changed mine on that side yet, but got the gasket just in case. The newer gaskets have a better locking tab.

My 92 had the same problem on the drivers side door. Took the panel off and squirted in all the moving places with PB Blaster, got it to work just fine, then I squirted all the places with PB Silicone Lube, been good for a year now. Wait for a day before using the Silicone so the Blaster dries...
