    If youre going to rebuild it, doesn't matter what it came out of as long as its a diesel e4od. Its not a bolt in, plug in and go swap.converter and solenoid packs are different. The later e4od did have some updates done to it but they are still junk.dump the auto for a 5speed.

    Try to get the 96 if you end up buying one.the 95 hpop, timing cover, oil pickup and oil pan are 94.5-95 only and not very desirable for performance builds

    That's an early 99 motor.I think you may need to mod a few things to use that turbo, I could be wrong.youre going to need a complete donor truck for the wiring harnesses.you need the motor, headlight, dash and I believe atleast half of the taillight harnesses.

    The vans cooler and manifold hang low and will not fit the pickup frame.I believe the mounts are different as well.

    May need to run an electric fuel pump as well.don't remember if they had for a pump.you can put a factory mechanical pump on it by pulling the turbo, remove the freeze plug from the pump hole.youll also need the 94.5-97 filter housing and lines to the heads

    They're gonna ask you for the ecm code.any will work as long as it comes out of an auto psd truck. Try to get the TDE1 ecm.has the better tranny and glowplug programming.

    The small plug inline with the hpo lines? Nothing in belongs in there.the spring and balls go in the oil line fittings.
