Look at the tag on the passengers valve cover.if it has split shot injectors it will say "cali emissions" on it.
If the sticker is gone look at the fuel pump under the turbo.if its a cali motor you will see a big disk looking thing on the fuel pump,it resembles the enterprise from star trek.
Get the dash harness and do it right! Nothing pisses me off more than working on a vehicle somebody hacked together.the problem is always in the hacked up spliced wiring.

If its the truck in your signature... pull the fuel filter and see what the fuel in the housing and filter look like.if its black and oily,you need injector orings.

Hard warm starts/easy cold starts are usually symptoms of bad IPR or injector orings.but also symptoms of low compression.
Id replace ipr rings first.if problem still persists id pull the valve covers and look for oil bubbling up under the injector hold down clamps.

The pressures you are looking is oil pressure to the injectors,not fuel.needs 500Psi to fire an injector.430 psi is low but could be due to slow cranking.
You need to see if its smoking out the tailpipe while cranking.
