    3G alternator question

Terminal I has to be wired in for the alternator to charge. Either through the charge lamp which acts as the exciter or to keyed hot with a 560 ohm resistor. So, find th charge light wire that went to your original VR and hook it up.

    3G alternator question

Green wire has to be hooked up. Either through the factory warning lamp, or if I understand it, it can be hooked to the ignition switch power.

1990 7.3L not charging, what's this melted connector?

Serp setup uses the same balancer as the v-belt. No need to swap the balancer. Install the single belt setup and don't look back. Serpentine will also have the 3G alternator, and the wiring will be a little different. I can take a picture of the EVTM page of the charging system from a 92...

Bids to host the 2017 OB Rally

I have family moving to taylorsville KY very soon. A rally in the Louisville area might work well for us. Either way, I might be able to go, but Louisville would probably be a shoe in. Thanks Heath for all the work that will go into this.

Bids to host the 2017 OB Rally

Good SAMs roadside service. 70 bucks or so, and if you break downs hauling your fiver, they send a truck for your tow vehicle and your trailer. We have kept ours after the first free year from buying our trailer. Anyone heading up from Texas would be near me if there was a breakdown....

What is up with my gauges?

On OBS trucks, there are ground wires coming out of both of the plugs on the back of the instrument cluster, and they all go down to a green bolt behind the drivers side kick panel.

    Hydroboost Pedal feel. Bouncing feedback?

Gentle even pressure never causes this to happen on mine. Quick hard emergency stops are the only time it happens. When the pedal goes down quickly. Also, when it has been a while since I have adjusted my rear shoes up tight.

    Hydroboost Pedal feel. Bouncing feedback?

Not sure if it is supposed to do it or not, but mine acts the same way. It is a rebuilt booster. I have always thought it had something to do with it taking a second for the fluid to redirect to the right spot.

    Heater coil hose (tee)

That tee was only on auto e4od trucks. Feel free to delete it. I actually did something different with mine. I teed off the heater core feed line and ran to a coolant filter. I used this fitting on my champion to return to the radiator. The coolant filter has a restriction in it that...

    Vacuum do-dad

I just looked over the EVTM for my 92 model. I would bet a 94 would be almost the same. If you unplug the vacuum switch from the circuit, it does not affect any of the other warning systems. Here is a diagram of the brake warning light. Vacuum switch is on the right side of the diagram.

    Vacuum do-dad

I might be mistaken, but when I did my hydroboost, I just unplugged the doo-dad. Brake light still works for the e brake, and I am not sure really about the fluid level sensor. I am about to go get my EVTM and look the circuit over.

Brake system- modified 4 wheel disc, Q's and C's

From what I understand, the period correct f-super duty trucks didn't have the RABS controller. There was just a double flare fitting coupler there to take its place. I don't personally own one, but I remember looking for one to delete the RABS valve. :dunno

Low end power issue 6.9 help!

Adding a shim to the injectors increases your pop pressure. With a pump of unknown mileage, there are a couple issues it could be causing. Your pump might be weak already, and a higher pop pressure might be harder for the pump to work rig. Your timing will be affected as well, because the...
