    OBS cluster swap

Wow. That speedo fits exceptionally well in the older style cluster. Looks great. I will amend my post now to say that unit I was talking about is the speed control amplifier. It controls cruise. It looks like it would be quite easy to make the speedo work, especially if you could get a...

    OBS cluster swap

Here is the page from the EVTM. It would appear that the sensor in your rear end for the abs is the same.

    OBS cluster swap

It is behind the knee panel on the drivers side. Near the transmission tunnel. It has two wiring harnesses plugged in to it with about 8 wires each. I have the evtm for a 92. What year parts trick is this? If it is an idi, you would be better off to do a complete dash swap along with all the...

    OBS cluster swap

First thing that is a problem is the way the speedo itself works. It receives a signal from the rear end into a speed control unit. That unit controls your cruise and sends the proper signal to the OBS speedometer. So, without that unit, and the appropriate wiring, there is no way an OBS...

    Who needs cam cores?

I have my rebuilt heads, but they do not have the 920 valve springs installed. The valves were recessed appropriately in the head, so I guess I need to check the valve stem height and install the 920 springs. Never having done this before, I would love to see a tutorial on installing the...

    OBD1 not pulling codes

Only thing that has codes to read on these trucks is the transmission control unit. There is no engine computer at all, thus, no engine codes. From what I remember, only thing that will turn on th CEL is an over temp situation(which would peg the temp gauge) or a low oil pressure situation...

Yep. Grab it, it will work.

    Return line rail

I know that he built a set of these a while back last year and was running them on one of the trucks. Hopefully this means that set tested out well and now production has started.

    Radiator replacement

https://shop.performanceradiator.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=1_15098_16523_16635_16639&product_id=5730 Is company has good stuff. I believe Mel is a retailer for them as well. This isn't an aluminum radiator, but a copper and brass one. No plastic tanks from what I can tell...

No A/C Wide shallow radiator switch to narrow deep

It can, if you swap the radiator support too. It has a deeper lower hoop to clear the radiator. Your truck, because it was originally a gasser, probably doesn't have the deep core support, which is why the wide, short radiator was used.

    Missing injector line clamp

Lots of people have gone a long way without them, but it will lead to failure. A couple days? You should be ok.

    7.3 Turbo IDI won't start.

Test the batteries, but shutting off while driving seems to indicate your batteries were not being charged. It takes a LOT of amps to crank one the these engines, which require a strong vehicle to jump off and LARGE jumper cables if your batteries have completely gone dead.

Question from newby about AC compressor plug, the red part inside.

I wouldn't sweat it a whole lot, but if your compressor quits, you will know what to look at first! I would leave it myself, unless the wires start coming unhooked a lot.

    Water cooled exhaust

Are you talking abut circulating engine coolant through the castings, not actually into the combustion gases?

    how does this even happen?

Does this engine have a stud girdle that r&d sells? Perhaps something with the fasteners there?

    Transmission question

The 460 ZF you have would be a ton easier. You just need to redrill a few holes to make it work. If you have the starter mounting plate off the back of the block it makes a good template too.

    Transmission question

Is it the one at the conway upullit? Yes, it will work great! I have one from a 96 stroke in my truck. Get the clutch pedal set, crossmember, etc.... Buy a clutch set for a 93 non turbo idi and you will be golden,(see what I did there, rusty gold?) If you don't buy it, I am going to.

    1993 Bronco parts.

Well. My door panels are doodoo brown. I also hate the new aftermarket replacements they have. One day I will find a good set. I recently picked up a set of west coast mirrors for mine and love them. Just thought someone also might love them if they were a matched set. Good luck selling...

    145* hmmmm t-stat or sender?

Get out your digital laser thermometer. If you don't have one, go get one. They are handy! Shoot the top of th radiator, I have found it to be almost dead on with my gauge.

    Lowering EGTS

What is your timing set at? I have a very similar setup, but I am intercooled, and I have a hard time hitting 1200 after the intercooler.
