Rear leaf spring bushings... molded vs common?

I think most have the molded ones. I know I did. If you want, order the molded ones and if they are wrong, I will send you the other kind (from my kit unused) no charge. I ordered the wrong set first and had to reorder the molded bushings.

Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

Same boot was split on our church's e-450 29 passenger bus. It's shaped a little different in a van chassis. I recognized the sound immediately.

    Carrier bearing

Yep. Set of dial calipers on the shaft. That part is exposed.

They take an excursion and a 6.7 truck. Use the dash, firewall, engine, front sheet metal and front frame clip and graft it to the excursion body. This one belongs to a guy I go to church with.. $60k with a 3 year warranty.

Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

It was the turbo outlet. You could hear it under load and then I found it. It's a nice truck and the price is fair.

Me too. I found that in a thread from 2002. Third post down. It was dumb luck.

Looks like on rock auto they show a couple different sizes. Probably need to crawl under there and measure.....

Found this. The Ford CII pump (F150-350, Bronco) flows 1.5 gallons/minute at 740 psi. The pressure relief is in the pump and set at 1400 to 1500 psi. The Ford Saginaw pump (E100-350) flows 1.8 gallons/minute at 620 psi and its relief valve is set at 1350 to 1450 psi.

Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

They got the truck back from the shop today. It runs good other than a torn CAC pipe boot. Not sure I trust the shop that missed that. I think they did something with the turbo. Said it was frozen up. It still built 20 psi with the torn boot. Transmission shifted hard at first, but smoothed out...

    What is this?

Low vacuum warning switch. It turns on the brake light when a low vacuum situation is present.

What is this and why is it leaking?

OBS trucks only have 3 olives. The ip return tees into the number 2 cylinder instead of using a hard line to return to that block at the rear of the engine. Olive locations are 2 on the fuel filter head and 1 at the IP inlet. Good luck with the repair. That was the most frustrating leak I...

Hard brake pedal / intermittent brake light after booster & MC replacement

Can you hook up your vacuum gauge and tee it in with the booster still hooked up? Booster might be a leaker. Low vacuum(from a vacuum switch somewhere on an inner fender)and low fluid(per a switch in the MC) are what make the brake light come on.

Where are you located? Search for a diesel fuel injection shop. They would have one. Might be one close enough to go get it.

    eBay intercooler worth it?

Mine works great. No need for a better one later. If you feel my Charge pipes, inlet side will be too hot to touch and the outlet side of the cooler will actually be cool to the touch.... Search, there is a thread on intercooling the banks sidewinder system that details the install. It could...

Yep. It's a sweet little app. Might take a look at the 6.0 van again. They are sending it to the body shop to get some repairs. It ran really well, and I really want a van to work out of. I lay tile and hardwood and keeping my tools dry would be a plus.... I will keep you updated when...

Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

I use a Bluetooth module and enginelink app for iPhone. It can read instant parameters that the ecu sees. Pretty neat. In my expedition, I use it to give a heads Up display and real numbers on coolant and trans temp when towing. I will go through the menu and see if those are on the list...

Can I check the FICM voltage with my code reader? Will it read all the other stuff I should check?

Thanks man. I am going to let them send it to whatever shop they are going to use and see what's up then. Thanks for the advice, I will take it and use it.

Almost like the turbo was frozen. If it was, would the ecu cut the fuel so it wouldn't smoke?

Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

I don't think it was something normal. It had a hard time making 40 miles per hour. Our church vans are 05 6.0 e-450 chassis vans and they don't do what this truck does. When cold, they can be slow to shift and a little sluggish. This truck couldn't get out of its own way, like dangerously...

i was looking at a 6.0 econoline, but the body was badly beat up on it. I got distracted by a cclb drw truck with the 6.ohno in it. The truck has 138k on the odometer. Started great from a dead cold start. Idled smoothly after just a few seconds of rough running at startup. No smoke of any...
