do the return lines also cool the injectors?

I have found there is surprisingly little information on exactly how our mechanical injectors operate. I have been googling and searching for cutaway views and diagrams for several hours now. There just isn't much information readily available. I don't have my pop tester going yet. One...

do the return lines also cool the injectors?

In my opinion, if the fuel is running out of the injectors, and that fuel is cooler than the injectors when it comes in,(and those injectors can get pretty warm), then it stands to reason that the fuel is cooling the injectors. I am not entirely sure about the return line system. Does high...

    PSOM

It is a MAP sensor, but it is actually reading ambient air pressure, to account for the diesel having different power levels associated with higher elevations. The transmission computer will adjust the shift points based upon barometric pressure readings from this sensor. According to the...

    5 speed swap

80-86 pedals are the same. 87-91 are the same. 92-96 are the same. The different body styles will not swap from one to another. What year is your truck? The slave cylinder IS diesel specific for the 5 speed. You will also need to deal with the drive shaft situation and...

I wouldn't buy it unless I had pictures of what I was getting. If it is all there, great price, if you have to buy a bunch of stuff to make it complete, well, you decide.

    Bouncing speedo after gear swap

Take it back to them! The speed sensor on a 94 is in the rear end. Obviously, something is misaligned in the tone ring or the sensor itself.

    New pump issues

The idle control may just be sticking. Change your fuel filter and fill it with ATF, Start it and run it until it gets real smooth sounding. Let it sit overnight. There are some who have had the idle control start to stick from getting gummed up. There is some thinking that this might help...

    Uhm....ya ok...uhm twin turbo....

I am pretty sure that is a factory gear, inside a custom tower. It was probably much easier to machine the gear to fit the inline pump than it would be to make a gear to fit the cam gear.

https://www.facebook.com/MadJagPowerStroke/ Lots of cool pictures on their Facebook. Custom pump tower for the inline pump. I saw head studs. A custom built bell housing and adapter.

Pics of 4wd e4od rear without transfer case installed

Did you already do that and I am missing it? If so, I beg your forgiveness. I do stand behind what I said, if he is wanting to bolt an DNE2 straight to the back of a 4wd tail housing, than it would make sense that it needs to be identical to a transfer case, that is supposed to be there...

Pics of 4wd e4od rear without transfer case installed

Surely someone has a picture of a transfer case input. If it was the same as your DNE, then you know it would work. So, who has a 1356 laying around and can snap a good picture of the input shaft and flange? (BTW, I don't!)

    Hard start, glow plugs?

When I was having a problem with air leaks(fuel heater was my issue), when I unscrewed my fuel filter, it was not full. You can also push the Schrader valve on the filter head and see if you have a steady stream of fuel.(might put a piece of clear hose on it to control spray).

    Hard start, glow plugs?

Make sure your fuel filter is staying full and not draining back from some sort of air intrusion.

    Looking at a N"used" F250 IDI

Were you checking it when the oil was warm? It needs to be brought up to temp, then allows to sit for a while to accurately check. That much oil will expand when warm, and raise the level. I am also suspicious of the dipstick not being seated properly in yours. There are countless places...

    Looking at a N"used" F250 IDI

Clean the engine rally good, then you will be able to locate the oil leaks easier. I would absolutely do the thermostat and flush and fill the radiator with new fleetcharge antifreeze. The sca levels are very important, and fleetcharge has the right level from the start. Read this about...
