    TTB to Dana 60

I will concur with the trac bar. I did a RSK on my F350 and didn't immediately install the new adjustable trac bar and it drove terribly. Lots of wander, so I would say don't count on your springs keeping it all in place perfectly. I would suggest looking at PMF and also Sky Off-Road for the...

    grounding....

@IDIoit if memory serves me correctly isn't that race vehicle territory?;) OEM does it bats to block for engine chassis combo, but if the build is definitive (@laserjock looking at you) then game on. I like the copper braid, and I'll guarantee if you stroll past some older class 8/9 trucks...

New to diesels, having hard starting issues, glow plugs? Help

I've caused a few sparks with the GP controller that I wouldn't worry about it, but I would certainly check the voltage at the controller. I fought the same issue last winter and it was a long road of alternator, which lead to starter which lead to batters. Both alt and starter were the OEM...

I assumed it was a play on words. A good spring will bob again, and again, and again.

Any options for front brake upgrade?

According to my Differential book the KP D60 existed from 84 to 91, with ball joints running from 92 to 97. The book also mentions that the TTB D50 was optional depending on packages all throughout these years, but the most consistent year break is 91 down and 92 up.

This one is available. Check out the seller's store for a myriad of parts.

Any options for front brake upgrade?

I made a brief ebay search and found several places selling new outer steering knuckles. It's going to run you some coin, so I would suggest a quick look into a junkyard first. Solid Axle Manufacturing has some weld on brackets to go to a bolt on over the slide pin, but you'll probably have to...

    Shocks and springs

Good for you. When I was younger I considered trade school, but didn't do anything until I was older. Finished by first BS in 2013 at 30 and am now leaning HEAVILY towards another. Apparently I didn't learn enough the first time......... *Please do not read sarcasm in that. There was...

    Shocks and springs

No I just spend my time poorly and apparently like doing research. My wife references my bookmark list as truck p##n, since it's collection of catalog pdf's for any other the manufacturers I tend to reference. Like Bilstein or Mahle. Basically I'm avoiding doing real homework with this nonsense.

    e40d to zf6 instead of zf5?

@79jasper I agree about the 3.55's enhancing the 6 speed splits, but living in Oregon our speed limits aren't that high and honestly I just don't like driving over 65. But I would like to reduce my overall RPM's and I felt 3.73's a good compromise. For nearly any other western state I would go...

    Shocks and springs

Bilstein 4600 series 24-013284 front; 24-013291 rear. I did the 4600 series on mine a little over two years ago, and while being a 350 the ride is never going to be smooth I do think they improved.

    Shocks and springs

From what I could find Bilstein does not have a 5100 series for the 1980-1997 F250/F350 4WD. You can get 2WD shocks up to 6" of lift. So if the attachments are the same then it's possible. I personally would recommend either Rancho or Skyjacker for shocks if Bilstein isn't available. I...

    e40d to zf6 instead of zf5?

@79jasper is highly correct. Before I sound like an uninformed cheerleader, the zf6 swap is daunting but not impossible. Likely to be expensive, and the argument of cost vs gain should be considered. My personal opinion is the extra money will be worth it to ME, but that isn't so for...

    e40d to zf6 instead of zf5?

Oh sorry, I didn't mean send it in. He has gear packages for the DIY that are reasonably priced. Check it out, he also has an ebay store.

    e40d to zf6 instead of zf5?

@Thatoneguy check out Ron's Machine Service for regearing. Nothing here unique, but the prices are reasonable. I have 4.10s currently, and someday plan to go to 3.73s for a little better highway speed. Hijack over.

    e40d to zf6 instead of zf5?

This is the most comprehensive write up regarding a zf6 swap that I have found. 4 of the 6 idi bolts will match, it's the top two that won't. The thick cast adapter has to go, and you'll need to use a 13" pressure plate and clutch with correct zf6 splines mated to an IDI flywheel. Fortunately...

I'm new so please don't yell at me!

Glow plugs get the Beru/Motorcraft ZD9. As for injectors, and I will submit to a larger knowledge base, but I believe the current thought process is letter codes don't matter much so long as all 8 match. There are a few good places to buy rebuilt factory spec injectors. This article regarding...

    R&D vs Type4 cam?

At the risk of attempting to be Lazarus (raise from the dead) I was wondering if any further information has been published about comparing the various cams available for IDIs? If so I can, or someone else, link the information to this thread so anyone wanting to know more can find it.

pyrometer weirdness and cold starting issue

Have you tested the GP? That is another I've run into. The Beru/Motocraft's are, like many say, superior in quality. I put 8 new DieselRx GP's in and in two days they started to fail. The current set of Beru's are going on three years with not a single issue.
