    Shoot, up here, you can go to the junkyard and buy any tailgate for $50-$100. $50 if it's dented or rusted, $100 if it's perfect. LOL Edit: This is only considering tailgates without electronics.

    I'd say it's going to end up being either your hydraulics or the throwout arm is bent. It's not moving enough to disengage your clutch properly. My guess is the master/slave combination, I'd try bleeding it first.

    Did you try replacing the radiator cap? I've had a weak cap not seal and the coolant/water evaporated when hot.

    If it's a stick, try pull starting it to purge the air. I ran out of fuel in my truck once, that was enough. Since then, to me it costs the same to run off the fuel at the top half of the gauge as it is to run on the bottom half. LOL

You'll be swapping out the trans and driveshafts anyway, this would save you a lot of suspension work swapping over the front...
