Unless your young and agile, I don't think you want to do it. There was/is a thread a few years ago where a guy did what your thinking about in a Class C which would be the same thing. Must of had 200 posts on all the trouble he had. I've got an 84 with the 460, never any trouble except when the...
These are the tools and sleeves you would need. But if you have any that leak coolant, ya gotta do it.
If ya have to do it, just make sure they go in straight or they'll leak, not fun doing it all over again.
I've got the whole set, just waiting for a need to pull the injectors...
Man, I sure wouldn't use wheels that the lug holes are wallowed out. I'd check the junk yards for some or put a request in the WANTED forum on here, even check the Market Place for some. The lugs fit the holes pretty close, it's not the weight, it's the torque on the lugs and that pin isn't...
Yeah, that torque to 300 Ft lbs sounds right. I had a 35 ft Greyhound bus, wheel torque was 360 ft lbs. IIRC. I would take a socket and breaker bar with a 3 ft pipe on it and tighten nuts all I could by lifting the bar. That had the 24" wheels on it.
Hey, thanks for the Dorman nut # at...
When you pull the codes, either by the CEL light or a scanner, the brake peddle has to be actuated all the time during the code pull, That's why your getting the 74 code, you should have gotten a 23 code also.
If you have the Integral two piece swivel nuts they are really expensive. I need 4 of them myself, last I checked they are $15 each. If I where you, I'd check the junk yards for the wheels and nuts.
Any more when I put those nuts on, I slam them on as hard as the air gun will put them on and...
Here is a cut away of the fuel injectors, the blue is coolant around the injector cups. If you don't remove the cups, no need to drain the coolant, when the injector is removed, any coolant that leaks in means the cup is cracked.
What's DLC wiring?
Can't help with the A/C.
You have a 4R100 Trans., the oil out the weep hole in the dust cover is from a defective (burnt) seal on the pump to TC shaft, have to pull the trans to replace it, the support sleeve bearing could also be worn, seal is only a single wrap.
I...
Thanks , spent an hour scanning and posting for nothing. 4 minutes to late. Oh well, that's what where here for.
Problem Solved, but how, would be nice to know.
Wow. That could have been a catastrophe. Someone was looking out for you.
Pretty sure the studs are not LH. They could be 9/16 or 5/8. You probably have the Dana full floating rear axle, that's what my Class C MH has on the F350 chassis. I don't think I would try to fix it in a parking lot...
That's what I was trying to tell you. No need to rent a dolly, make the trip and find the vehicle you want to tow won't fit. $$$$ Lost.
You have to be careful with a trailer also.
My experience: Hauled an F350 on the SIL 18 Ft car hauler, fenders set down close to the tires, wore holes in...
Please put your truck info in your signature including the trans. That way we don't have to go back to your 1st post to see what where dealing with.
Also Check mark "Show your signature" so it appears on all posts.
It's amazing how quick these IDI's will start when the GP system is working correctly, the fuel system is tight, no air intrusion, good batteries and starter. My 92 will start with one turn of the crank. It can set for a month and still start that way.
Edit: Oh and the fuel in it is over ten...
Yeah, Ford and there ground connections. The whole chassis is painted everywhere, then the ground wires are connected over paint, relying on the internal or external tooth washer to make a good ground contact.
Not mentioned, but when removing the injector line from #1, use two 5/8" wrenches, one to hold the extender, one to unscrew the line nut. Then remove the extender from the injector. Install reverse.
One way to tell for sure what the rear gearing is. Mark the drive shaft, mark the tire, turn the tire one revolution, count the drive shaft revolutions. If you have a 5:56, the drive shaft will turn that many times. I would bet you have a 4:10 rear.
#1: You cannot flush an Auxiliary cooler with just 5 PSI of air, it needs to have a fluid and 15 to 20 PSI air to move any debris. Any respectable trans shop will always replace the Aux. cooler after a catastrophic failure of any sort.
#2: Your all over the place checking temperatures. The...
That doesn't say anything. You have to describe what the transmission faults are. We are here to help the best we can.
If your just looking to upgrade it for towing, then that's a different story. Then install a reprogramming kit and make changes to the pump. If you search on here, there is a...
