No fuel out of IP lines

You said UP lines. I'm scratching my head also. Do you mean the IP injector lines, or from the filter to the IP? Do you have power to the IP? It's the connection on top of the IP furthest to the front towards the radiator. Edit: When you opened the IP tpo get to the fuel screw, you drained the...

Useless to reply to your thread until we know what you have. If it is in fact a US Gear, did you get the control modules?

    School me on e4od

If you have never tore an E4OD down, you had better get a ATSG manual. A couple of special tools are recommended, but you can make them. Be very careful of the clutch seals. Might want to read thru this. http://www.oilburners.net/threads/1998-e4od-on-the-outside-wait-a-minute.69057/

    Sudden Oil cooler leak

I would say if it's leaking oil that bad it needs to be repaired quickly, or your gonna run out of oil. There is no quick fix for that except to check the bolts for the correct torque. The rear bolts are 5/16"-18, torque is 12 to 18 ft lb., front bolts are 3/8"-16, torque is 22 to 32 ft lb. If...

    Injection pump help

Before you even learn how to re-install the IP. Disconnect the IP from the gear, takes a 12 point 5/16' socket. THOROUGHLY clean off all the sealer (RTV) from the housing and block or it will leak oil. Remove the #1 cyl. glow plug, mark the damper TDC mark with white paint, mark the timing tab...

Help identify what's wrong with my ill 7.3 IDI

Do the coolant pressure test on a cold engine, then on a hot engine. Pump up the pressure to 24# but not over that. Do it slowly, one or two PSI at a time, if it looses pressure between pumps, you will know if it's a leak.

    Oilburners.net site problems

Don't tell me I lost about 750 pictures that I could get by going ADVANCED. "Manage Attachment" If I didn't, how do I get to them? I have yet to get an answer to this. Those pictures with circuits and what not where always a big help to the first time diesel owners.

Replaced transmission now no start help needed

You sure you didn't kink the suction line some place while changing the tranny? Pull the return line off the top of the IP, crank the the engine, you should have a pretty good fuel flow out there, makes no difference where the timing is set at.

    Lift pump

Nobody makes that lift pump with the dog leg actuator anymore. You have to roll the engine over so the cam lobe is pointing up, then with the new pump, you have to tip it a little so the arm goes under the cam, then force it down a little to line up the bolt holes.

    Injector Question and advice needed

Have no idea what smokers do according to law in SC. But I would sure back off the IP fuel at least a couple of Hex. Takes a 5/32" hex wrench. The screw turns hard, so use a new wrench. Then test it for smoke, still smokes a lot, do it a hex at a time.

    Return line rail

Don't know about the fuel rail return over the caps and hose that I have in my 92 an 89 engine with only 75K miles on it, but it's still 27 years old with the original 5/16" return fuel system on it. Don't drive it much, but can leave it set for 3 months and still starts in 3 seconds. The lift...

    High Idle Solenoid Idea

Not bad for the solenoid, but bad for the batteries, it'll drain them. Cold weather reduces the battery efficiency considerably. Your remote start will be useless.
