    Did you check to make sure the old copper washer came out with the old injector before putting the new injector + washer in? Sometimes they don't come out with the injector and you have to fish it out with a hook or pick.

    Found the problem ;Poke I couldn't resist. Kidding aside, it does sound like you have at least 1-2 burnt up glow plugs. Autolite's are the worst thing you can put in there, put some Motorcraft / Beru (same thing) plugs in there and you should be good to go.

    I've had good luck with Gates. Just make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you do NOT let the parts counter guy give you a lower rad hose that doesn't have a spring or rubber flap in it. If the lower hose doesn't have that, the hose will collapse the first time you fire it up and your engine will overheat fast.

    Make sure the frame isn't full of rust holes. But if it runs and all the gears work, hell yeah! That truck looks like it'd be a great fixer-upper, and it's cheap enough that you could at least break even if you need to dump it.

    I don't see why not, as long as you have a hose going from the heater core back in to the block. I don't know why there's a T in the line splitting the return between the block and the rad, maybe someone here could shine some light on that.
