    Did you end up using a gasket? I thought I replied but it seems I didn't; mine came with a gasket and I distinctly remember how much of a pain it was to get it on correctly the first couple times I did it.

    I've got just over 15K and after thiis next trip will be within sight of 20K. I cut my teeth burning WMO in an IDI and things have gone just as well with the PSD. It's been a learning process for sure but it's well worth it with fuel prices running $4.29 right now!

    With 20% RUG and 10% diesel you should be good to go, I'm with you on thinking that the lift pump might be going out. I went through a couple when I started running WMO on my IDI, the warranty made it easy to keep swapping them out though.

    One more thought is the stock PSD pump with an external regulator. This pump will push my WMO mix at 65-70 psi and drops to 30 PSI at WOT with a 9K lb trailer. For 6.5 psi, this pump oughta run forever.

    Ahhh, ok. One more question; Why would you do this instead of just using the lift pump? Also, why would you go with the $20 SBC (plus mods and materials) when you can have a Summit pump for $40? Not trying to shoot the idea down, just looking for your reasoning.

    I like to use a 5qt ice cream pail with gas in it. First I'll scrape out the heavy grease, then I'll drop the pieces into the pail and use a paintbrush to scrub/clean them off.     Good to hear, glad that you had an uneventful trip! The reason I asked about the vis. test is that if you don't use enough liquid or the hole is too big, your times will always be really close to each other. I don't know how many oz's is enough, I settled on 64 oz for my tests.
