bump, still interested
I adapted a C2 to work, but would like the proper setup to run v-belt and in the future add AC. Already have a reman saginaw with a double pulley from my old C2 (not sure if it is suppose to be the same but its working for now)
I found this picture but its for a...
I don't want to step on any toes, but I saw a guy blow the front of his hand guard off after a short while with the compensator nested inside like that...
Could be absolutely fine, other than if someone tries to hold it out there... If this is inappropriate a mod can remove it, no harm intended...
Sounds about right. I've had mine for years and still ticking. I like the filter, I saw cap in there and cleaned it up before it got worse. Never would have known with stock fuel system...
I also ceramic coated all of my exhaust and turbo housing from Manis to downpipe, so my under hood...
My mickey thompson mtz tires got covered in oregon valley mud and wouldn't clean off at all. Pretty sure they are "mud" tires too. Interested in finding something that will do better without being offroad only ( i rarely see mud, but I would see it more if i didn't get stuck constantly)
They...
For what its worth, you can rig up either to a banks, just gotta make an additional pipe if you dont hook up an IC. Water to air on top of the engine would be easiest :sly
I just welded up an aluminum pipe 2", rolled bead on one side. Used a 2-2.5" adapter boot from silicon intakes i think...
interested in the saginaw mounting brackets and such. I'd have to see pics of how the ac goes to know if I'd be interested.
shooting you a pm with my number
Whatever it is, it didn't get past the carrier filter screen. I held a magnet up to it and it didn't care - looks and smells like crap and is slimy. So I'm assuming it is "algae". Guess I will have to start dumping biocides in there. Maybe toss some silver in the tank since it naturally kills...
It's algae. 90% sure.
Adding pictures to this post, let me know if they give you guys trouble
Whatever that crap is, I did my best to clean it off. I hooked up the filters in this order - fuel tank - napa 3123 - carrier pump - stock filter. Ran great, much better than with the clogged...
Hey guys, happy new year!
I have a carrier pump, been running good since installation a few years ago. yesterday I go to start the truck up and she is idling funny, like being starved of diesel - high rev then struggle high rev struggle. I'm sure you have heard it if you ever ran low on fuel...
Noises are at least a two-part issue if not three.
Driver side wheel bearing, squeaks - looks like wheel seal is shot, I'm betting moisture got in there. Looks like I might have reason to upgrade to a dana 60 front
Sometimes with clutch out in gear there is noise from one of the bearings...
Now I've also heard of the zf5's having a 13" clutch :dunno. How many parts will interchange between the two trans?
Looks like I should have gotten a kevlar bearing. And from some digging it sounds like another member here had similar issues with his sachs clutch kit
friend had one of those cranes on his truck, we lifted an idi with it and it bend the crap out of the bed. Not sure if he had it installed wrong but basically I layed in the bed and pushed it out with my legs. He sold that truck later on so who knows. Just some thoughts :rotflmao
Damn. so much for going with the sachs. I heard they were good. Might as well pull the whole crapshow. Had the flywheel resurfaced when I did the clutch kit, has less than 1,000 on it. If it looks pretty even, can I call it good or should I redo'er?
Southbend 12" clutch fit behind the t-19 or...
New UHaul engine probably has only about 1,000 miles on her. Installed a new 11" sachs clutch on my T-19 from oreillys. I will try to dig up more info, somehow I lost it.
Anyway - sounds like hell when I push the clutch pedal in and hold it. Never sounded right from the get go. Figured...
Al, you are correct. I got it confused with something else - I was thinking of a product that was highly conductive, but anti-corrosive. I will have to see if its on the shelf, I think maybe ox gard was the stuff. Edited the prior post to prevent incorrect info from spreading
I knew better...
