    condensation or water?

Damn man, that's terrible. I'd just keep driving it and adding to see if it gets worse and you can locate is externally or in the exhaust if its not in the oil. If it's a bad block, maybe add some silver seal, or k seal stop leak to it and see if it slows it down? The worst that'd happen is it...

Water leak problem and how much is this truck worth like this.

I had the same a few thousand miles after a new water pump install. I found it was the upper radiator hose leaking at the clamp and following thermostat housing down and around

    Clutch options

Best advice I can offer is buy two pinion bearings of the exact same brand. Take a Dremel with sand paper wheel and sand the inside of one. This will allow you to slide it on and off the Pinon without having to use a bearing puller each time. Don't get a different brand the last one I did was...

anybody running electric fans have a source for quality fan control?

I've been using these in various applications for my intercooler coolant pump, some fans, some humidification solenoids. They work great. I'd use a relay with them not actually switch the current. I just zip tie them to the the pipe, hose, componet in contact with the "button" and they work...

    Dorman 904-226 oil cooler tube

Here are pictures of the 1994 turbo IDI cooler i just pulled apart. It had 168k i dont believe its ever been rebuilt. A brass wire wheel would clean up the small outter corrosion and seal just fine. Putting inside on the inside oring seat is usually where ive seen the most pitting because the...

    Clutch options

You could probably buy a shim kit too. The sides are usually a two piece thick shim that has a collar and one and slides inside of the other to allow you to add other thinner shims between. I've always tapped them in with a large brass punch. They shouldnt just fall out, you should have to pry...

    Clutch options

When i pull apart the GM 8.5" rear in my 2001 suburban it had just two thrust washers in it and a single shim on the pinion. I think the factory just machines everything so exact they install everything already knowing the necessary shims for correct backlash.

    Timing gear cover for Dummies.

I haven't had the cover off but if there's a dowel and a blind hole I'd recommend he try to clean it out incase it's preventing it from sealing flat.

    Timing gear cover for Dummies.

Those gaskets work excellent. Better than rtv in my experience. Just a thought but maybe check there isn't crap in any of the holes or you don't have a water pump bolt or two bottoming out keeping it from clamping tight enough.

Why not pressure test it with block heater plugged in?

    condensation or water?

The gm rtv I used here doing head gaskets on my old duramax is the hardest rtv I've ever had to remove. It's expensive, but i even had trouble getting it off with a brass wire wheel https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Fluid-12378521-Engine-Sealant/dp/B000QIR5OA The stuff I normally use is a...

    condensation or water?

Iol I'm riding in an obs replacement for now. So far in 1,000 miles I've already had to have to towed once for the already rebuilt idm burning up again despite no wiring issues. I ran new ground everywhere hopefully it lasts again. I love the idi for its simplicity. Even with that leaking...

    condensation or water?

The other thing you can do for gaskets, or cavitation is remove radiator cap, use compression tester through glow plug hole and pressure each cylinder at a time for a couple minutes, watch for bubbles in radiator cap. 120psi of cylinder pressure should be enough to show a leaking head gasket...

Differences between cab & chassis vs pickup

I have both in my yard and just swapped. They are a 93 and 96 though. Other frames are 34" from what I remember but the regular f350 had a shackle to shackle width of about 49" and the cab and chasis like 45". The springs and shackles are both narrower. The frame on the f350 standard is...

    condensation or water?

Is it only losing coolant when running? Does it lose it when pressure testing or only when running? Does it make a difference if block heat is plugged in and it's under pressure? That really sucks man. It's a shame when you spend so much time on something and do everything right and it still...
