    Added my coolant filter

I'd change it every oil change, heres mine that went 10k with a system that had been flushed twice from recent repairs before i added it. Also i see you are sending 100% of coolant through the filter, are you sure there isnt a restriction orifice in it like on mine...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

Ive been on vacation for a little while so i havent put many miles on it it, just a few hundred but its definitely more responsive, fuel ecconmony doesnt appear to have changed at all, i havent run a full tank yet since i go 600+ miles between fill ups, but its more responsive and my down pipe...

OFFICIAL Red Head Steering Box Group Buy Thread

No, mine has been perfect, i put 200 miles per day on my truck and it weighs 9,000lbs. I have all new front end components and a borgeson steering shaft.

    Fuel Delivery Problem

Your best bet is to take your new fuel pump and connect it to a 5 gal diesel can and run directly to the filter, see if it runs and start there.

    Fuel Delivery Problem

The sending unit hard lines and fuel lines can rust out with pinholes. Turn your pump on and listen around under the truck for any air hissing being drawn in, if you have a return from your filter head still you'll hear the air being pumped back into the fuel tanks from the lines below the...

Replacing a deleted CDR valve/Leaky valve cover

Factory turbo trucks have the cdr mounted on the driver side valve cover, there's a baffle in the valve cover, the cdr is a pvc valve but not really a check valve until there's a substantial flow into the crankcase.

    Help me locate this leak

Maybe your Valley pan /intake gasket is leaking spraying cdr oil back there.

94 turbo flywheel with PSD 13" clutch?

I meant balance by not drilling the holes perfectly centered that'd throw it off. My machine shot asked for clutch and pressure plate to balance my engine still.

Is there differences in Turbo and non-turbo glow plug harnesses

I've made the 6.0L harness work fine on my turbo truck for over 7k miles so far with no issues. I believe several other members have too, being you already might have to extend the harness you can make this whatevrer length you needs and have much better connectors...

94 turbo flywheel with PSD 13" clutch?

Vs time and machine work to drill and make a powerstroke clutch work and possibly have it off balance. I'd says $200 for machine shop to drill it and hope it's close. Only saving $150 then.

94 turbo flywheel with PSD 13" clutch?

Why not just purchased an upgraded clutch and flyheel for the IDI? Doesnt seem like you'd be saving much money. I purchased this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0059VAZV4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got 129.7 gal with those dimensions just real quick figuring

150 gal. Mack tank, wanting to mount in bed

I'm not sure about the legality of using it, any container that holds over 119 gallons of a hazardous material needs to be placarded with a UN number as it's conisdered a bulk container, and that means at minimum a DOT inspection on the vehicle, Class C CDL, DOT healthcard, and Hazmat...

    No AC again

You gotta read the high side too to see if your orifice is plugged resulting in higher pressure or your compressor is worn and not making enough pressure.
  15. S

    No AC again

Without gauges you won't know what pressures you have. If you don't have atleast 30psi on low side and get it up to about 130psi on high youre not going to feel cold at all. There's no vapor expansion so there's no cooling effect

    No AC again

Well you never finish your posts with "Eh?" so i can understand the confusion
  17. S

    No AC again

Vacuum it out, I use a cheap set of gauges from napa or something. You can connect vacuum to one of gauge lines. My gauges require turning of low side gauge to let freon in. I always connect to the high side so you can see that your compressor and orifice are working properly. 40-50 on the...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

Yeah you can definitely see it below the frame, i used some 3" Fernco fittings to protect the glass bowls and drain petcocks from rocks, people keep asking me why i cut my exhaust and pointed it straight at the ground. I could build something fancy around it like a skid plate but this works...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

I dropped mine in from the top when i had the turbo off so i am not sure how hard it is to get in from the bottom with the larger flange fitting, i know it takes a little bit of work all welded as one piece at a 2.75" DP that i had in there before. The new DP i didnt even clamp where the two...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

Well i had a slightly vibration at idle with the old setup figured was because there was no flex other than the rubber mounts in the exhaust system. I figured i'd do this to make it smoother. The new down pipe us much worse, it's hitting somewhere so i'll have to put it up on the lift and see...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

Oh really? Does your temp his 210F on the highway too? At 65mph on the highway in 95F weather i can see my coolant temp get to 210 with the AC on, 200F with the AC off. In cooler weather or at 55mph the temp is usually around 190F.

    Clogged Orifice tube

What's the concern with sealer in the AC system? I would never put it in a cooling system but ive had several opened up that i used sealer on and i never saw anything gunked up. One i ran for 3 years with sealer before i replaced the orifice, which was gunked up, but it probably saw 10 cans of...

New SX257 Turbo installed in factory location (upgraded from Wicked Wheel 093)

Well i got tired of my turbo leaking oil all over the engine bay so i opted to replace it. My other engine still isnt done so i have the new turbo set to 7psi. I had to notch and weld the intake hat for it to fit with the snail clocked from my IC (i have upgraded 3" pipe welded intake for new...

    Low oil pressure

So I stopped in at the machine shop today and noticed the turbo feed line and port at the back of the block on the 1994 turbo idi I'm having overhauled is actually 1/4" npt directly in the block not 1/8" like my factory turbo 1993. Unless someone has replaced the engine before.
