Personally I don't see it happening for 2 grand at all, not in this instance. I think you will be lucky if in the 3-4 grand range because unfortunately all the little stuff adds up like freakin crazy. For that much I would just do the 12 valve route.
But with that being said I hope it works...
I got to be honest with you, I am oddly jealous about that trip and the van. By chance did you come down I-65 through Louisville, KY?
But yeah its like the van isn't pretty by any means (to most people anyways), doesn't look like it will be fun or enjoyable to take on that long of a trip, but...
Yeah I agree with everyone else aint no way he is legitimately towing that a good distance especially it being a single cab dually; that makes it look even crazier LOL
I paid a good amount. I also got a lot of the other books that come with the dealer service manuals and such which adds to the cost. I don't remember the exact amount but at least 100-200. They don't come up to often with all the other books, and when they do and are in good shape, they usually...
Drool!
You must have got a great deal on everything to make that drive and I am super jealous they fired up that easy. Will definitely be following this. ;Sweet
I have a brand new cdr still in the box and a super clean air intake assembly. Not the ducting, just the actual filter housing and assembly but it is very clean.
Just shoot me a PM if it doesnt work out with StillStrokin.
I looked on classictube for you and I am only seeing the full kits, but at least they are showing that.
You could email them and see if you can get just a specific section.
I have a good amount of front end parts for the D50 still brand new in the box.
1. 2 Moog Tie Rod Ends (ES2728L and ES2727R)
2. 2 Moog Upper Ball Joints (K80026)
3. 2 Motorcraft Lower Ball Joints (MCS-10383)
4. 3 Moog Front Axle Shaft U-Joints (231)
5. 2 Timken Wheel Bearings and...
The 3-4 inches I will be able to tell, but with that being said I wouldn't turn down a super good deal on a styleside truck if all the cab and chassis ones were really expensive.
As far as towing is concerned, here is what I have gathered so far. It wasn't easy since what I am looking for is...
Alright guys found out the truck f350 regular cab wheel base was 137"
The cab and chassis f350 closest to the standard truck is 140.8" which is what I am wanting to stick to unless I just happen to find the truck version for such a good price. But I personally think the few extra inches of...
I was just curious does anyone know off the top of their head what lengths the cab and chassis came in for the regular cab 03-07 4x4 trucks?
Thinking about picking up a 6.0 one for work on the farm and the flatbed would come in real handy for that. I didn't know if it was like the older...
Pics?
Warden thanks for your post, I was getting a little worried there as there doesn't seem to be as much activity about the bullnose/slantnose trucks. I did notice the wood grain looked different but it was hard to tell because most pictures I see are high mileage trucks and vary from one...
