They have filter like that on Ebay. The guy that sells them is good to deal with. I know people also use those filtesr for cleaning WVO.- dreadhed

replacing rag joint?
Thanks Okie. I thought it was 1/4" NPT but could not remember for sure. I will get some here in the next few days. I have a funnel I use with a metal screen I use too for the same thing. Don't need any extra crap in the motor.- dreadhed

replacing rag joint?
I will pry get into it this weekend, so I can hit it all week with some lube. They are a cheap part. I picked one up today. Do I just unbolt the shaft & then take the joint a part? Okie what size are the banjo petcocks for draining the block? I need to do a flush here soon. I can't...- dreadhed

replacing rag joint?
I am wondering what is all involved in changing the rag joint out. My Haynes tells me nothing about it. Also are there any other parts I should change while I am in there? Thanks for any help.- dreadhed

You did some nice work there Tonka. I like that pipe too. Is that one of those 750 2 strokes? You do a lot of body work? Can you use a paint respirator for spraying the epoxy? Can some one tell me how to set my notices so I get a email to responses to threads?- dreadhed

Have you ever heard of using JB weld for filler? A guy I know that does custom cars & trucks told me about using it. Says it is chemical resistant, water proof & sands easy. I might have to give the rust eas a try sometime. I am all ways redoing some part for a ATC. When I use acid on the inside of gas tanks is has all ways worked well. I have a bucket of it still maybe I will have to play with it some. I will post how it worked out. Acid is cheap too. Just...- dreadhed

What would be the best way to prevent flash rust, if you just wanted to finish a bare metal surface? Drying it fast? I have heard about this a couple of years ago, so yesterday I had to try it.
