do we really have a choice? i messed with the mods once and it had some long term effects LOL
i think it is fine, but i do like the suggestion that we keep one link in the top to help keep some advertisement for activities in the high flow traffic area. some of the sub forums can get left...
good to see you back, you had some of the best stories LOL
i cant really compare but when i was running a turbo i had the 093 set up. i could pull the injection pump without touching the turbo. heck even glow plugs were not really hard with some extensions under the turbo and some long needle...
This is great, i look forward to getting out to that side of the country some day. I think i would have to fly myself. If i am hauling that far i probably would put down roots and not come back. LOL
thanks Scott!
well some have seen it but here is our pitch
Since the 18 Oilburner’s rally has come to a close there has been some talk of the next rally for 19.
Since Mike and Rob did such a stellar job setting up events and coordinating some the best weather we have seen in recent rally...
right there with you on distance but i can say i love this rally, we always try to go a little longer than a weekend. it is a great time of year to camp though, the weather is cooling down a little and the fire really feels good warming you up. if you forget your jacket Darrin is even nice...
Nice work, just got done reading through this thread. I didn't realize it was such a journey.
Was great to meet another "crazy internet friend" in real life. Make sure you get everything in shape so you can make next years rally!
Thanks Heath, you are right, we have to coardinate a weekend to come down and visit now!
See if my parents might be able to keep the kiddos for a little trip.
well this is the idea we put together sort of written for a vote lol. this is all just preliminary to, we hope to go down and test some areas out to see what works best for everyone.

I love it so far, it is a lot of fabrication to get it in but it has been a great engine for pulling my camper and heavy firewood hauling.
So far the engine is stock with a turned up pump and upgraded turbo. It pulls a decent bit harder than my old IDI but in a more narrow power band. I do have...
yep we put together a preliminary layout of the stuff we can look into doing, and some of the camp grounds to consider. We can post it up, if we start a voting thread to lay out whoever wants to throw a hat in the ring.
i have been down that way before and loved it, if we work winning the title...
I considered one before I found my DT360 to put in my truck but passed because they are physically bigger. Not my much but my dt only clears by a couple inches.
Anyway, I have heard they are great engines but parts are not readily available. I mentioned that to my friend and he looked at me...
Shoot, looks like I will be flying solo. The wifey wants to get started and plans to head down sat. So unless this turbo kicks my but I will be a day ahead of you guys.
Well the new turbo was a huge bust so now I am scrambling to get the old one back in. I have it about 90 percent in, just need to finish the drain and a little IC tubing. It was not a complete bolt in since I am leaving the manifold flipped. I was really trying to avoid this last minute stuff, I...
Well I got my exhaust tacked and preliminary fit up but I didn't have time to burn it in and mount it. So close!
I had to finish up some honey do and install my basement and new kitchen floor. That is done so time to buckle down on this truck!
No, not at this point, I would love to do compounds but that would be down the road.
I am sure I was leaving some performance on the table but I could hit 17 psi. That is almost identical to Jon's swap with his DT and stock turbo. He could do 18. The stock turbo is sort of an odd ball with a...
I did get the turbo in and fired it up, everything looks good and no leaks so far. I really wanted to take it for a drive but I don't have an exhaust pipe on it yet to play. Hopefully tomorrow, I can't wait to see how this turbo does.
