yep, it used to be a sort of backup older chat site. i am not sure it is even still around or could be accessed. i believe i set up and account but it has been 10+ years.
thanks, this has been an issue for me. i finally got one that screws on the stem nicely by it restricts the flow to much. if a drill bit does not fix mine i will give this a go.
i had a 79 CJ-7 with a AMC 360 that would do the same thing. mine had headers that went directly to side pipes coming out on front of the rear tire. i didnt have to drop a gear even, just spin it up hard and let off. wait about 3 seconds and BANG out the side with a 3 foot flame! i grenaded...
I really like the way you are thinking. this is something I have been considering for years but would be a serious commitment.
my thoughts (they are worth what you paid for them LOL) I believe we are going to have to keep it family friendly and easy for anyone to join. Whoever is organizing...
i wish i could stay on the road for 3 hrs lol, my kids each have to go at a random time. i am lucky to get 1 to 1 1/2 hours at a shot on the road.......i am seriously looking at an RV so they can just go when they want and i keep on trucking!
that is pretty slick, if cant get it with a blast of air or a ratchet strap i break out the ether. a little fun but i always worry about damage and usually loose all the hair off my knuckles. my kids enjoy the show but i will have to give this a try next time.
that would be amazing! i did do some number crunching with the wifey on doing something like that. it is in the dream category and probably be two years of vacation saving kind of thing, heck, i joked with her about making it a one way trip. she liked that idea to LOL
i will admit this a little also LOL i have a Honda 1100cc cruiser with a loud set of Cobra pipes. i find lately i have been enjoying the quiet buzz of my 250cc with stock exhaust. the pipes are fun for a while but can get old especially since my main highway i drive has a center concrete barrier...
i did not do any official attendance but it was a little smaller this year. i suspect that TN might be a bit of a trip for some to make. Heath and i were also hoping that the rally thread would get moved to the IDI section, at least for a little bit before the rally. just to help remind people...
i have had to reinforce the bead breaker on my manual changer, mine is just a $50 one from tractor supply. i kept bending the lip that breaks the actual bead. i ended up cutting out some 3/16 angle iron and spreading it and shaping with a press and sledge hammer it to replace that part. it does...
i got a bubble balancer and it works pretty good overall but not perfect. i think i want to invest in some beads to take out that last little bit of shimmy that shows up sometimes in the sets i change. i would say the bubble balancer is good 75-80% of the time. the rest of the time i get a...
within 2 hrs is a close rally for most people. i have had closed to me rallys but i am usually driving 6-12 hrs to see all my crazy internet friends. i am not going to complain either, because we have people who travel much further sometimes.
unfortunately that is the nature of the beast when...
i keep dreaming of making it out that way to see CO and WY someday! i keep getting more upset about the lack of offroading and general outdoor stuff around here in PA. most of us would need about 3-4 days to drive that way though.
