Defrost only, no vents or floor

GEE! You sound just like my wife. This truck is going on a road trip tomorrow. Oh well. Something to look at maybe tomorrow night. I was suspecting the same but playing ostrich is more fun at times. It tends to just delay the inevitable.

Changed out the glow plugs, now relay is whining..

I recently went through a similar problem. I replaced the controller unit assembly on the back of the engine only to find out the relay on the fender wall was bad. I also have a switch that activates the relay on the controller to turn off the glow plugs when not needed.

    Air Bag set up ??

Two hella' good ideas. . . I have seen too many dash boards cluttered up with c*ap and did not desire to go that route. Wireless is nice until the electronics check out.

Okay. '94 F350 crewcab dually 7.3 turbo Got the 2007 Lance Camper 9.5 feet to put on it. Looking at Airlift airbags to put onto it due to the internal "Jounce bumper". Lucky for me I picked up brackets from a junk yard and only need the bags, airlines, etc misc. Figuring on 5,000 Lb air bags...

    Hook Up Electric Winch

Those military connections and/or the Group 31 batteries would be a good way to go from scratch. I have a new main cable and new batteries. Do not desire to go backwards too gar to go forwards.

    Hook Up Electric Winch

Well in my advanced age, it might be true that I am confused however my original question still remains unanswered. I will attempt to simplify it. HOW do you connect the winch cable to the battery? Do you do it with a jumper cable clamp? Have you done it with a battery cable lug simply hung...

    Hook Up Electric Winch

Dual diesel battery set up with the fat OEM '0' Ga battery cables running from one side to the other. Considering Anderson connectors to the winch, How do you wire the cable from the Anderson connector to the battery? Pretty much looking for a sterile set-up. Hopefully not stuck with a...

Tire blowout! new tire and rim recommendation for heavy load

A few years ago, I went looking for 235/85-16 tires in a load range "E". I shopped various sources on line and started reading tire reviews. I first looked at $105 tires and finally wound up looking at $250 tires before the negative reviews ran out regarding premature tire failure that you seem...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

3 GPM puts more stress and strain on P/S hoses and such. Might not be a great idea. 3 GMP is not going to get me to 15 GPM for the 18K winch, nor is 1500 PSI from a P/S pump when I am reaching for 2400 PSI. MM 10.5 winch is a great set up for the basic P/S set up. Hope y'all are gettting...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

Just tripped across a web site talking about changing Saginaw pumps to increase the flow rate and the best they can do is about 3 GPM. Fudgesicles. The Warn 18K hyd winch is 2400 PSI at 15 GPM. This is getting to a PTO real quick. Unless I desire the 10.5 MM at potential sluggo speed. Now...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

I know the P/S pump can give off 1500 PSI and the MM 10.5K winch runs out supposedly at 1450 PSI according to the message I got. There were no other specs given any any other winches and your info is appreciated. Running a winch off the P/S pump can be a good option, however as I write this I...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

Well, I have sent an email off to Warn and Mile Marker. That was a few days ago and Mile Marker responded with the 10.5 winch could be hooked up to the P/S lines. Nothing larger. Using a snatch block could then effectively double the pulling strength. Fair enough. Ford Power whining steering...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

Questions can lead to answers. Answers can lead to knowledge. Knowledge can lead to regret. So, before you ask that question, are you really sure you desire an answer? The reservoir adds about another 85 pounds to the mix. Add the PTO pump, etc and easily pack on an additional 300 plus pounds...

That snatch block also needs to be rated twice what the winch is rated for. Looking around I found Mile Marker hyd winches and they appear to be comparable to the Warn winch, They are however used on military vehicles and that may or may not be a good thing. They, at least, have a schematic of...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

Crewcab Dually off road might be a fun way to tear things up. The electric winch is nice. Until it stops working. either way, the engine needs to be running, either to charge the battery or run the winch. I intend to have both options on this truck. Plug and play either way. Money pit? Yes. I...

    Hydraulic Winch setup info needed.

My plans also include a rear mount for the winch along with remote 12V connectors for jumper cables. The Warn winch is calling for 3000 PSI and 20 GPM on the 20 and 30K winches. Unable to find a hyd spec on the smaller winches. 18-15-12K I do have a warn 12K electric on one truck and haven't...

Okay. The wife got her idi turbo in a '94 Crewcab Dually. I have the BW 1356 transfer case with the PTO option behind a E4OD trans. Now the fun part comes in what Hyd winch would you go with? Yes, I already have a Warn 12K electric on the the first truck. I am looking for a hyd option for the...

    Fast clicking glow plug relay

'87 F250 6.9 idi The first diesel that came home. I took it for a drive, no problems, got it home parked it, it cooled off, went to start it later and now a fast clicking relay controller. Replaced entire unit, controller and relay, with a Standard brand product from Napa and same results...

    E4OD rebuild

I just had mine done and researching it was about $1200 in parts s I recall. I got it done for $1700. You can find them rebuilt for $1900 on line inc. shipping. So for a few bucks more it gets done with a warranty by someone else. PS. Your erratic shifting was the range selector switch, Not...

    Rear fuel tank shenanigan question

Typical of the fuel tank is the pick-up fall off the end of the pick up tube. That will run you out'a fuel at about 1/3 tank. Those shower heads can be found on Rockauto cheap enough. Next time install it with a hose clamp to hold it in place.
