IP PROBLEM
Yup, high idle solenoid. It pushes the throttle open a little past idle to help warm up the engine when cold. Not essential. My F250 has never had a functional HIS. My F350 does. I warm the engine with my right foot on the F250 driving to and from work. LOL Not really a great answer for...- hesutton

Please help, no power to IP
My guess is the fusible link running power to the engine harness (IP fuel shutoff solenoid) burned up. Common pain in the butt with the bullnose IDI's. Lost mine driving to work one am. I ran a jumper from the battery to get it off the side of the road. Replaced it with a large blade fuse...- hesutton

Balance the rotating assembly on a rebuild?
Would NOT recommend boring that 7.3. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend balancing. Heath- hesutton

Love it. I have an intercooler and A/C condenser in front of my Rodney Red on the 6.9 with a Bull Moose and Moose turbo. It handles haul the 5th wheel in the summer with the A/C running very well. I'd pull it off the firewall and the throw it in the trash. Never seen one that isn't bypassed. Notorious for air/fuel leaks. I'd either get a 7.3 filter head with the water separator bowl/filter (what I use)..... or grab an aftermarket fuel filter with a water separator. I don't know which...- hesutton

mr gasket 12D pump
Still using the Mr. Gasket Holley Red knock off on my F250. Put it on 6 years ago. I drive the F250 less (summer time I drive the F450 or F350), but will bring it out of the shop for winter duty soon. I'd have no problem throwing another on when needed in the future. Heath- hesutton

You could pull the rockers and may see an issue a little easier, but personally, I'd pull it out and start an autopsy. You have grey oil on the dipstick? So sorry to see that Mike. I had a similar issue several years ago on my F250. Had the factory and aftermarket oil pressure senders on the turbo's oil block. Didn't break, but the SOB cracked. The 12th Annual Michigan Fall Rally is ofically ON!
8 hours (if we don't stop) and right at 500 miles.... man, that's tough with the kids for a weekend camp. Dang! Haven't made this rally and Missy and I would love to see the whole Michigan Mafia crew again. It's been too long. But, I don't think logistically it will work out again this fall...- hesutton

6.9L IDI loses power and stalls
Certainly sounds like a fuel supply issue to me as well. Would be nice to have a fuel pressure gauge on there to see what the pressure is doing when it stalls. My guess is the pressure is zero. Could be an issue with the tanks or tank selector valve as described above. Fuel pump my be...- hesutton
