C6 to ZF5 clutch hydraulics question
My '86 had a small plate over the firewall where the master mounts. All I had to do was pop off the plate and bolt the master in. Not sure about early rigs. Heath- hesutton

Host should have been a rally attendee at least once. Campground needs fullhookups, cabins, pool, playground, tent sites, and laundry facilities. Also, most trucks hauling a camper are crew cabs. C6 to ZF5 clutch hydraulics question
+1. They are cheap. I got new aluminum master and slave from RockAuto a few years ago for my '86 cheaper than I could get them from a local parts store. Shoot they were about the price of used units I've pulled at junk yards. Up high under the dash/firewall is a pain to drill holes in. LOL...- hesutton

Speaking of last minute projects..... I'm doing a major undercarriage upgrade on the camper tomorrow. Replacing the stock 1/2 inch axle U-bolts with 5/8's U-bolts I had made yesterday. Gotta swag of the axles to the passenger's side and the camper frame to the driver's side. Pretty sure...- hesutton

Easy coolant filter
I'd do a bypass. Those filters and heads are designed as a bypass. Plus, if you get cold weather in the winter months, you'll not like the restricted flow to your heater core. Easy to get some "y" heater hose fitting from any NAPA. Both my IDI's have bypass coolant filter setups. They...- hesutton

Convoy is super nice to have on a trip like this. I'm often rolling hundreds on miles loaded heavy with the family in tow ALONE. LOL, I can't tell you how many rallies have involved last minute major repair/work. Rewiring the umbilical on the 5'th wheel. Replacing the steering column and turn signal switch and leaving immediately afterward at 2am to drive for hours on end, driving to Michigan and back with no turn...- hesutton

With the DMV only giving motorcycle permit test from 8-11 Monday through Friday, I'm not gonna be able to get over there and take my test. I can't get away from work during their tiny test window. Sucks, but I don't see how I'm gonna be able to ride. Heath- hesutton

Any crazy hot injector line/lines. I agree, there is a slight tick on the drivers side on the video. Pretty hard to hear on the video, I'm sure is more noticeable under the hood. Heath- hesutton

Shouldn't boost much in the lower gears, so low boost numbers in 2nd is normal. This woosh sound? Was it like escaping air kind of sound? What was you boost doing when it happened? I agree with you putting miles on it. The more the better. Using it will bring issue to the surface that...- hesutton

I've been kicked in the nad's by Murphy at rally time myself. Lost a head gasket heading to Mel's rally in 2011. Luckily I was just 30 miles from home, but it sucked just as bad. I left the camper at home and made the trip with my F250 and a tent. LOL Funny thing, I lost a front wheel...- hesutton

Mike with the smaller A/R turbine housing, you should build boost very quickly. Gotta be a leak somewhere on the turbine or compressor side of the turbo plumping.
