    I'm trying to do my due diligence and be as informed as possible. I really don't want to remove the engine again. I would attempt to inspect/replace the oil pump and pickup in frame before pulling the dang engine.

    You're right, I sent Promar an email when I discovered it and received a phone call from Mark the President 20 minutes later. He asked me to try a few things and I sent an email yesterday detailing my findings. He emailed today and said he'd call tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

    We got the engine installed and fired up a couple days ago. It sounded fantastic and fires up easily. As expected there were some minor leaks from heater hoses and fuel lines that needed adjustment and a heat cycle to help seal up.

    No. They are both factory bundles for the IDI-T. The top cooler with the rough surface is my original bundle. I tried to make a PowerStroke fit but they are too long to seat into the headers properly.

    Finally! A piece of the puzzle comes together. The Ford IDI-T cooler bundle fits perfectly. Near as I can tell, it is an identical replacement.

    When you say replacement coolers are you talking about aftermarket coolers or Motorcraft coolers? The replacement I ordered from Ebay (dieselpowershop) was for a 7.3 idi but it is the lower fin count and it does not fit the headers...too long and the back up rings are welded in different spots.
