The biggest thing and whats goin' on here is the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Every once a while the computer goes into a purge/burn cycle to clean out the DPF. The fluting is in the tip to add air to cool the exhaust down during the purge event so hotter than normal exhaust doesn't burn...
I'll take the white crew cab in the backround...
To quote Sam who I forwarded the pics too "dayum thats nicee!"
Details are sketchy but shes workin' on gettin a new truck too as her ole IDI is still down.

Howdy and welcome, you gotta be around a bit longer to earn the position of village idiot. Jred is just about at that point with his jeep sillyness....
Anywoot, kick back and tell us more 'bout yerself. Kinda like yer local bar 'round here.
Adrianspeeder
It's kinda like yer local bar in here. Or if you're workin' on the job and get a disproportionate amount of flack for somethin small ya messed up that at least one person always remembers. Feel free to poke back.
Is it a E4OD or ZF5 tranny?
Adrianspeeder
Howdy and welcome!!!
Most def gonna need more pictures.
The ZF-5 S42 tranny is purdy tough. Some fresh Mercon ATF can help that out if you don't know the last it was changed, and purdy quick to change if you have a suction gun to refill it.
Yeah the ford dash gauges are purdy much idiot...

For the '88-'93's built off an F-350 truck, it seems to be an even split with the IDI and 460. This continued for '94 and '95 with the 460 and PSD.
The F-150 based cent's have all been 351s from...
Well back to runnin in the cool today. Got a 15amp circuit drivin a new relay that is triggered when the PCM relay comes on. The relay then powers the blower direct and backfeeds to the stock AC button with a 5amp fuse for the most protection I can give it.
Adrianspeeder
Maybe somethin like the stock? Then cover the edge with some black rubber hose with a slit cut down the length?
Some pic's I've found from this thread Lightning air dam install
Adrianspeeder
First check would be to see if the 4ways behave normally. If so, you got a bad flasher unit for the directionals in the fuse panel. One buck at any parts store will get ya fixed up as the 4way flasher is a PITA to get to for a swap test.

Ok, from lookin' over wirin' diagrams, the speed sensor mounted on the speedo cable should have a dark green with white tracer and red with light blue tracer. This goes to the cruse control amplifier and then to the main computer for the E4OD shift strategy with the red/lt blue being the...
for the '87-'91 there is two speed sensors. The diff mounted one is for the RABS (same kind used '92-'96 for the speedo/odo/cruse/E4OD). The speedo cable mounted speed sensor is for the cruse control.
Still researching which one in fact does the E4OD shift strategy for the '89-'91 trucks...
 I'd be Pissed if I found that for what I see them gooses go for pricewise....
ANyway,
Pulled the HVAC panel today and looked for trouble.
Did find out there is a lightbulb that was burnt out back there though.
Didn't find anything fried electrical wise which makes...
