look online again they come in almost any size could want look in the agriculture / construction equipment like track hoes and excavators and bob cats and such even some semi's use them there are options out there just look around that is the entire point of this I look around and compare and...
nope you can set these hydraulic fans as a pusher unit and mount in front of radiator / intercooler so that conclusion you just said is null and void. I want to also point out these hydraulic fan assemblies are really skinny and often skinnier than even a electric fan setup.
also there is a...
Look into a hydraulic driven radiator fan they get theyre power from the power steering pump just a hint alot of high output cars that have shoe horned in V8 motors and even larger engines do this jaguar / ferrari / lambo / bugati / MClaren / BMW / mercedes and many more along with bobcats / JCB...
No I have not but anymore I learned not to push the limits I got kids and my time and money is now limited and well I no longer try to shoot myself in the foot by overdoing it 225hp and 500ftlb of torgue is plenty for me and a hopped up stock pump can easily push this and then some add a custom...
modified marine 7.3 IDI injection pump I was told from the guy i bought 4 of them from they are essentially a hybrid DB2/DB4 injection pump I will look it up and get the model and such DB2831-5090 1819681c91 1993-1994 MARINE 260BHP

Sorry to hear you say that cummins are good motors but they just don't feel as smooth to me and don't seem to be as cheap to work on reliability is good but they have theyre issues also and well I would go a DT360 myself for the added HP and simplicity and smoothness. A cummins 5.9 12 valve for...
also you cannot beat the exhaust note of our old IDI's they sing like a hopped up big block 460 music to my ears that deep low tone and grunt LOL and no cummins has this nor does any power stroke / duramax our engines have theyre own 1 of a kind sound again can pick our motors out of a crowd of...
and a hell of a oil cooler because the piston squirters are going to be doing alot of work to try to cool the pistons and at 400WHP i bet those pistons swell so tight in the bore essentially siezing the motor and it shatters rods from that issue our pistons for our motors swell alot because of...
the factory S10 v6 4.3 5speed manual with Tcase and a california offroads adapter to adapt the trans and motor and a clutch adapter setup they sell as a package and a V10 dodge viper starter if remember correctly.
a few more pictures of that project everyone said it cant be done well we both said with a cutting torch and a welder along with determination anything can be done. I want to point out that truck is being designed for alaska as a short shot truck long wheelbase trucks don't do so well on some of...
I like the DT466 mechanical or the cat 3208 myself i like simplicity and well I used to love the cummins 5.9 12v but it has just became to popular and did I say expensive a few years back they were cheap but now OMG people want a mint for a wore out motor and if is a good motor add your right...
I will tell you now 400whp ( that is 450hp+ at crank good luck ) and tow friendly your asking alot out of a 7.3 idi your running on the razors edge of disaster 325hp and below is what it would take to be tow friendly trust me I know once you go to far the motor lifespan drops to nothing and...
man do full duals those crossover setups are restricrtive and costing alot of flow our motors love the added exhaust flow or up the exhaust diameter size in the crossover section and the collector and rest of way back. I like to do 2.5 for the crossover to a 3inch collector and 3.5-4 inch rest...
slightly turn them in and out if you feel them hanging in a spot theyre either swollen or coked with carbon usually they come out easy but have had a few cause issues make sure to only run beru / motorcraft glow plugs the others are asking for problems and are the main ones to give you issues as...
you can run it as is but make sure you got diesel in the mix at a ratio of 25%-50% or it will be to thick and would make the truck very hard to start.
I also want to point out if is to thick also it wouldn't flow properly and would have trouble going thru the filter starving the injection pump...
yes been doing it for years simply run a 25%-50% diesel mix with it and it will run in our old IDI's be aware it stinks horribly and if is winter you might want to add more diesel to the mix also if run gear oil for fuel when you filter it use a fine mesh filter or something after you mix in the...
I prefer to use the rear tank and block all venting and fill port then use a large tank in the bed to gravity feed the rear tank I return the fuel to the in bed tank with a 1 way check valve and pull fuel from the under truck rear tank this also gives a positive pressure at the fuel pump /...
A cheap 30w solar panel and small 10amp MPPT solar charge controller will be a better option to keep your batteries topped off I have a 50w flexible mounted ontop of my trucks roof and 10a mppt renogy charge controller behind the seat.
about every 60k miles I pull my injectors and clean and...
I see issues there myself I like to have a 1 way check valve between the injection pump return and the return line injector caps then another after they merge this eliminates issues with air bleed back ( often a issue when re priming the system or after setting for a long period ) I also like to...
I have found try to avoid upgrading the valve springs it adds to much strain to the lifters and cam and will cause premature failure also as for lifter issues well sadly our engines are prone to it and the CJ4 oil spec is often the reason they removed alot of the testing required for upper valve...
The last one is a 12si the others are 10si
you dont want to go a 10si over 90 amp the cooling isn't there as i explained earlier and will cause longevity issues the 12si is the one you want for above 90 amp

12si...
I just realized that is a 10si delco 1 wire alternator in that link you had after i had been saying the 10si / 12si 1 wire is a good option that is very reliable and simple upgrade and cheap along with offering higher amps than we can easily get in our OEM style alternators options for our motors.
Glad could bring some good advice and options to the group quality has tanked on our OEM style alternators and voltage regulators and i moved to the 10si and 12si years ago due to being left on side of road many times over faulty replacement parts yeah they were under warranty but after swapping...
