    I hope the deck surfaces are ok. Usually you will see some erosion of the block or head surface. Depends on how long you drove it like that though (and luck). Sometimes a catastrophic head gasket failure is better.

I remember being surprised at the size difference compared to the 4.10 gears many years ago when I first swapped. But even the 3.55 is small compared to this.     The converter lockup is fixed. I installed the new (rebuilt) pump and it worked on the first try when running on blocks. Road test also worked perfectly. Only remaining issue is lazy 2nd gear engine braking off throttle. But I have some valve body issues to work out.

    Love it LOL But seriously, try and have a look at your caster angle. That's what helps the truck return to center and track straight. You can get offset ball joint bushings to adjust this but its usually done at the alignment shop.

There would have been a connector on the passenger side of the C6 transmission [EDIT: WRONG... should be to the DRIVER'S side of the C6].
