    Yes that is the plan, arp studs from CDD I am also paying for an E40D rebuild on the psd so I wanted to wait a minute before ordering the studs. Engine is almost out just stopped for a dinner break.

    I will get a video of the valve train moving. Nothing real obvious coming out of oil fill so far just the normal bit of steam or whatever at a steady rate.

    Considering that it came out of the ground and I know it was an ether baby before I would like to know. Is the HF tester “good enough”? I think at this point I am more looking for a dead hole more than 99.9% accuracy.

    Valve covers off, nothing looks strange and all the valve train components seem to move.

    It does seem to be chuffing but only slightly. I pulled ip lines on at a time and all seem to be firing. It went from perfect to disaster in 0.5 of a mile so I think I will pull valve cover next.

    Are you able to check with a real gauge? I once ran a 460 that opened the thermostat at L on the gauge because the gauge was just worthless.

    Yes if you get it in neutral it’s in neutral and should roll free, if you can’t do that simply remove the driveshaft.
