Yes the bigger booster cables occurred to me yesterday, I’ve had that set for years and it always worked great for Datsuns .
I think the solution is actually to IDI and ZF5 swap the PSD than I can just yank it.
I jump started my 7.3 powerstroke with my 6.9 which took an hour on the fast idle stick jump start and a boat battery and a jump pack, the powersmoke has a fuel bowl issue and a battery drain so it’s a pain to get going if it sits.
The wire was broken inside the harness above the brake light sensor. So I fixed that and replaced my shift tube and shifter. Now my brake lights work and the torque converter is fixed.
My third brake light is out, which means it can’t drive because it’s locking the shift cylinder solonoid the pedal switch does work and there is power at it.
I love redhead steering gears and would run one of those if you go for a box. If you have to take it out I know I looked into it once and a box seal kit is the way to go in my opinion.
I have had good luck with the ratchet straps but I have used many many of they not two, more like 4-6 and just keep in mind that until it’s held up by bolts it could fall at any time even with a proper jack things go wrong. The only thing you need to keep in mind to stay safe is NEVER EVER EVER...
That’s interesting, I know I just threw something lubriscous in there to replace the water and mud and figured I improved things. Maybe I’m an idiot but I don’t think I’m gonna go hunt down t case fluid

Got the new thermostat in and replaced the coolant filter and now the heater works really well. The coolant filter seems to be working well I cut the old one in half for the purposes of science and the coolant that was in the truck was very clean and bright green.
When I first got mine I had to work through many fuel problems and once the whole system is working perfectly I could get it from now fuel in it to running in about 3 short cranking sessions. If you have any fuel system problems it’s impossible to get primed.
My thermostat seems to be stuck open, it’s running cold by the factory gauge but I can tell it’s really running cold via the heat vent temp and the actual by hand feel under hood temp and it smokes like it’s cold all the time, I really want some good aftermarket gauges but I’m always too busy...
There is nothing in the entire world like smashing the skinny pedal and hearing a giant 4 barrel open up as it pours unadulterated freedom sauce into a piston pumping pushrod American V8 as your ears start to bleed from the wheel dump when you drop that clutch. With that being said I sold my...
It’s too soon to speak definitively for winter temps but a warm 35 degree day she starts fine so that’s a good sign! I do have to glow the plugs for two cycles of about 9 seconds
