    I would look if that 4x4 has the door sill sticker still readable, for a dually 10.25 with factory locker, you need to look for the W5 axle code on the sticker. I don't know if your terrain is soil or gravel? If so, why not use snow chains? If you really want a 4x4, maybe ( if not burnt?)...

    perhaps it was used only in a gasoline engine, the have a tendency to keep their oils cleaner compared to a diesel engine.

    well, when I settled and filtered I blended with gasoline to get most pollutants out of suspension, then leave them to drop at the bottom, and take the fuel from the top. I have no experience with a centrifuge, and I'm curious what things you think you can't get out of the WMO when centrifuging...

    Hello James, Thanks for explaining RUG. I did use that in the past, I need now to inform myself about "better"? ways to use WMO. Those above are not assumptions. experiences with batches from which we were sure they were pure mineral or pure synthetic. over a few weeks.

    I just reread this post, and thinking that engine oil is made to hold pollutions in suspension, I'm not really seeing how adding water "cleans" the WMO? I know that adding gasoline (or Petrol for UK) could change WMO in a sense that the pollutions go out of suspension by changing the surface...

    Mostly regular diesel, but a few years ago I tried a couple of fill ups with WMO mixed with gasoline to get to the desired viscosity. But I can't remember if the oil was thick before or after I used the WMO?

    A few additions: Lubrification! the bosch pump on your golf needs it! so whatever you do, take care that the fuel you use lubrifies! Please help me out here, what do you mean with RUG? I would suggest (if possible) try a batch where you are sure the WMO is MINERAL oil! I've seen WMO heaters...

    good to know, thanks. But isn't it these days (quite some years ago there was a interdiction to use a certain ingredient by the rubbermakers) that caused the "new" rubbers to last a whole lot less then before? look alone to tirelife now and before, let's say, 20 years ago?
