    some more: If you look at the paper filter itself, it looks not bad? I was suprised to see that, until you look a bit better on the unfolded "harmonica", there you see that the whole filter media is covered with this sticky tough layer of lightbrown "goop"!

    only If all that was so easy... you might have missed that I live in Europe? these filters are rare as hens teeth over here, and equally expensive. yes only 200 and a bit miles. I still have to check if there's green or black goop in it. I hope not?

    I have had a look around the vacuum switch, and I coudn't find yet a bare wire or bitten vacuum hose, nor any rodent damage underneath the dash.
