Looking for a rust bucket IDI truck

Vermont does mail in titling, no need to be a resident. Can use a CA address and info, they'll mail plates straight to your house. Give them a bill of sale and write $500 for the value (the minimum), pay your $106, and done.

    Vacuum pump gone bad?

I'm using one from a super duty, mounted on a plate near the passenger hood hinge out of the way. Will get pictures tomorrow, totally snagged the idea from someone else on this forum, though memory escapes me.

    Vacuum pump gone bad?

With quality of these mechanical pumps being what they are, might be worth looking into if a 12v compressor can be used instead. Hook up the inlet side and let the compressor side go to atmosphere and you can pull 25hg of vacuum easy, at least on the Viair units I've tested. Bonus points if...

    Vacuum pump gone bad?

Saw a post on one of the IDI FB groups that a PSD vacuum pump fits if you've got a serpentine setup, could be handy if they do not have the IDI one in stock.

    Belt driven fuel pump discussion

Would a clutch from a York AC compressor fit? *Looked it up further, York is conical, likely wouldn't fit easily. Would be a good alternative or even a junkyard pull and bring costs down if you could make it fit.

Definitively an interesting way of going about doing a fuel pump. Beats paying $300 for some of these nicer pumps if you've got those gear pumps laying around.

Pulling Hair Out with ZF5 Install - What's the Trick to Installing One?

To be fair, CA would give a Prop-65 endorsement to water if they could (if they haven't). "Dihydrogen monoxide is known to the State of California to cause death in excessive amounts"

Wire identification to alternator and from glow plug harness

Maybe setup for manual glow plug switch at one point On that website I linked, look at the EVTM section for some extremely in-depth wiring diagrams, that plug and wire will be on there.

Pulling Hair Out with ZF5 Install - What's the Trick to Installing One?

I marked the topmost spline on the alignment tool on the engine side , then lined up the transmission shaft to that mark before putting it in, went smoothly that way. Maybe a fluke, was my first and only time putting the ZF in.

Wire identification to alternator and from glow plug harness

Specifically this page looks like it may have some info that helps. Wish I could help further, I ripped my entire wiring harness out and did my own. https://www.garysgaragemahal.com/3g-writeup-from-lucas.html

Install 7.3 and ZF5 Together or Separately?

I installed a ZF5 solo, wasn't too bad at all. Jacked the back of the truck up fairly high with 6 ton stands on wooden supports for height (and front wheels chocked) and just slid it underneath the truck on a floor jack. Cut two 6" pieces of all thread to act as guides on the bottom two bolt...

    Belt driven fuel pump discussion

Frantz may not be able to do full flow, a Motorguard should be able to. You'd possibly want to change the internal plastic bits out for metal on that one though. I'll be running a Frantz for my WMO setup Tank - 3 tank selector valve - 10 micron/water separator - transfer pump -...

    Belt driven fuel pump discussion

That thing looks pretty robust. Any chance you've got a part number or something? I've got 5 big rig oil centrifuges I want to run off of one pump, that looks like it might do it. Would mean I could cycle through a 55gallon drum pretty quickly. IDI needs something like 30 gallons per hour...

    Belt driven fuel pump discussion

I haven't researched it, but I'd be finding information about several specs: Regulator input pressure ranges Regulator specs for gallons per hour - Say your input pressure is 100 psi and you're regulating down to 7psi for the IP, but you're flowing 300 gph, can the regulator return that much...

Green seems to be a 6 tooth Yellow is 7 tooth from the looks of it Try this link - might be a from a BW 1356 though, seems the 1345 is a rarer beast. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143539682075 This one is for a 1345 but they are pretty proud of their gears to be charging that much...
