    Three legged animal...

The weather has been against me, so have not got a lot done. I have cleaned out the back and had to remove the rest of the back seat to be able to get at the rear mount bolt. This lets me shove the seat back fully, so that I can peal the mat up further. In doing so, found some bolts...

    Rear speakers in ext. cab.

You would have to make a adaptor for a bigger speaker like a 6x9 to fit, it would not need to be as big as I made. How the box would mount in the oem location would be the same. You would make a cardboard template of the first piece, and should come out something like this. With less of a tab on...

    Rear speakers in ext. cab.

The back speakers I have are made to fit, thay are a 3in and 6.5in mid-range. Thay might get fiber glass and bolt to where the speaker was. And the door is a bullet tweeter and a 6.5in mid-bass, so a 4-way so my own making. So any thing is possible if you have the commitment.

Well counting rivets and going over assembly. We start with this core brace, it was a c channel but cant rivet this centter row. So it is split and adds a row of rivets to be counted, this edge was hard to make and 80% is on. Next is the row to the right, it is a seam that was open that seemed...

Yea, its a lot of screews and factory had spot weld ever inch or two apart. The metal is putting up a fight to give flush edges since had to beat them a bit, so they want to do there own thing. That rear post is getting less than the inch for gap, since have that extra scab piece. That piece...

The glue is more secondary, its to try to keep the metal water tight and from shifting around. Im going to have rivets hold it together but there failing to set good, some snap before tight and dont have a #10 bit. Might had been better to just had used 1/4 screews and called it a day.

Well the tie down point hit a wall and I marked out a escape route. I cut out the given area needed and bent it to shape. Now variable is solved Pulling up the mat, I found more issue that did not look too bad from the outside. So I had to cut out more. And the post...

Since I had to play inside today... I decided to fix this lip, it tappers such that I cant rivet on it. The far end by the bed, is correct shape and matches the bed. So went about rebending the end that was wrong and get it to match. That will only get one rdige and leaves me with a...

What to look for in a truck that's been lifted?

I can get away with just a 4in block, a stock one would be nice with the anti roll tab. These are the rear f-super springs I have, I reordered them to match and cut some shorter so not as harsh. This is the stance with only a gen set in the bed. I can get it level with just grave, so I...

Well I got the gun to work.. But a 13/64 bit is too loose and sloppy, so going to make a 3/16 work. Some are good and some pulled through the first layer. This is the parameter that needed set but was not.

So today is punishing a piece of metal for not fitting.. It took some to get two vice grips in place... It also took some beating to get it too more form a shape. Then is more timming to fit. Then the first key of the puzzle. Now have a starting point to anchor it down...
