    Project Stress Test

Each pictorial description would have to be a minimum of a thousand words to qualify as a picture.

So what did you do with your truck today?

In that case I've probably seen them before and just never paid attention.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Those are pretty good batteries to be able to crank for 6 hours. ;Poke :joker:

So what did you do with your truck today?

From what I've read, it's only sold in California and Oregon so far. I'm certain the Biden cronies will be pushing it on the rest of us as fast as they can.

    Someone go get it!!!

Huh, I work in Largo. Can't justify having a third truck though. :frustrate

    Power steering pissedness

Is this a reliable brand? I'm not opposed to buying new since I don't want to deal with the uncertainty of junkyard parts.

    Power steering pissedness

Okay, that makes me feel better. This leak I have, however, will be competition for the Exxon Valdez if I don't do something about it. I have no idea how old the pump is but once I have it out I'll attempt to rebuild it. Thanks for the info.

    Power steering pissedness

It seems to me that if it's called power steering fluid, how does it know that I'm not using transmission fluid.... other than the difference in color? I just prefer to stick with manufacturers specs, if possible. How long have you been running PS fluid in your pump? I presume it's running fine.

    Power steering pissedness

And another thing. The manual says to use dexron 2 for the PS pump, but that doesn't exist anymore, neither does "official" dexron 3. Can dexron 6 be used instead?

    Power steering pissedness

I keep hearing about repetitive pump failures so I'm wondering if these are remand pumps that are failing or brand new pumps? My PS pump sprung a leak yesterday and I figure to replace it and attempt to rebuild the one I have now so that I have a spare. Should I buy new or remand and which brand...

Trying to identify manifold coolant sensor

I don't know....I had the poster AND the pillow. I spent many a long teenage nights dreaming of that one. :Whatever:

Left Glow Plug Switch On Fried Something

This is what I use, I use the same type to start the truck also. I have a toggle switch for the run position and the key only unlocks the steering.

    Turn signals only work sometimes…

I've been accused of being an electrician a few times and I'll second this statement. You guys with these power probes... now I have one in my Amazon wish list. If my wife wonders why I'm buying more tools I'm blaming you guys. :joker:

Reverse Lights, ZF5 (all other lights work)

Mystery solved. The one on the left is what was in my zf5, the other is what rock auto said was for a four speed. One of them has an OD that's .001" larger than the other when measured at the threads, both have a 1.5 metric thread pitch. The original still worked but I changed it out anyway...

That makes me sad. No wonder it was such a good price. Thanks for the info.

    Someone go get it!!!

This says it's for a small block Ford. The transmission in my truck is a zf5 s42. Is the bell housing or something different that this won't fit a diesel? If this fits, I'm all over it.

So what did you do with your truck today?

When I lived in Arizona, even when it got into the 90s or even over 100°, so long as you were in the shade and there was a bit of a breeze, then it was tolerable. Here in Florida when it gets into the 90s with 80% humidity, the only way to deal with it is air conditioning. It's absolutely...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I'll find out soon enough. The "O" ring for both front and rear sending units are leaking so when I drop the tanks I'll post my findings. I've had those shower heads installed for about 6 months.

This is what I used. IDIBRONCO may know of a better brand.

Priming the Fuel System w/ Mechanical Lift Pump

I like that filter head better than the aftermarket 7.3 one I'm planning to use. Easier to plug the extra holes. I made this plug yesterday, not the piece of artwork that Sparks-IDI made, but I think it'll work fine.

Have you used that pop tester yet and how do you like it? I've been kicking the tires on that same one.

    Murphy and his Laws

I was visiting my cousin in Wyoming, I was on the verge of wearing a parka and he was running around in a sleeveless shirt. I think he's part wooly mammoth. LOL
