Lol. I live in a trailer house. 76 ft long 14ft wide. And like most guys that don't like making more than one trip, when we moved here to Springtown from Poolville (25 miles) I put everything inside the house and disconnected the sewage lines, water lines and dropped the main power going into...
Lol. Toss a turbo on it. I haul 10,500 uphill with a zf at 65 so long as my pyro says I'm still ok to do so. But I cheated. I have the 3582 from Wes and 3.73s :joker::peelout
Not sure what that part number looks like but I do have what is on it in the picture on front and rear. Never seen a double cardone without a flat plate/flange. And I don't have flanges/flat plates on my t case. Front and rear yolks on t case are same as on the rear end with u bolt straps. The...
I'm converting a 2wd truck into a 4 wheel drive. The components I have came from a cab and chassis dually but the driveshafts were already parted when I bought my donor. The yolks on the t case are what was on it when I got it. It's a bw1356 t case according to the plate I was able to find.
The wiring harness came from a truck with no charging issues, just a bad auto transmission. Didn't have issues till it was on my truck. Even stole the regulator and alternator from the diner and still issues. Gave up right there. It's all now back on her truck and same issues again so I went...
That looks to be the stock style of alternator. I was hung up for many years just using stock style alternators, but after replacing the regulator 5 times and the alternator 7 times in just the past 4 years, I gave up and went to the 3g alternator. It was actually cheaper than the stock style...
I have a 1989 super cab 7.3 (cab and a half) and am doing some converting. I need a rear driveshaft for a zf5 with transfer case. Front driveshaft as well if someone has it. I'm located in TX and would prefer to pick up. If someone has one they are willing to part with let me know what you have...
I have seen Wes and a few others bring this up in build threads and when I would ask questions about them. I still run a k&n filter but I do see higher egts than others since I installed the turbo. I know I'm wrong but $ is tight with covid restrictions/fears as well as my main truck it is on is...
I have tried this method while the injectors are apart and it works quite well. I will suggest using the hot shot to soak them as it seems to work alot better. Then use diesel kleen in tanks. I would recommend rinsing the injector parts with diesel before re assembly to avoid being burned as the...
My 91 cab and a half 2wd f250 CAN get 21 mpg highway, unloaded as u mentioned, with a 5 speed. I also have a super duty rear end in it with nice disk brakes and 3.73 gears and 265/75/16 tires. I also have alot of @Thewespaul products under the hood. Nice 110 cc pump, 3582 turbo, and stage 1...
This one took a while to finish cooking off. Took about 17 lbs of regular boost daily from wes' 3582 turbo and his 110 cc ip the last whole year it was "ticking" lol. Pray your issue isn't the same as mine.
Past 3 engines I've had with that centered "tap" that went away once warm slowly started taking longer to go away till it did it all the time. Didn't get louder, just started to continue after warm up. All 3 times have eventually turned into a definite knock and loss of power and hesitation...
I had 2 zf6 and both crapped the bed within a few months of install on the same truck. Not a fan at all. Idk why others don't use the zf6, but in between that and price in one compared to a zf5 is why I no longer use them.
Uh, I've had 3 6.9 trucks with zf5 with the 7.3 non turbo smf. Just got the clutch kit for the 7.3 idi non turbo. Never had any issue with any of them. The only idi clutch kit I have ever had issues with on a 6.9 was the kit for an idit. The idit is balanced differently. Hell the last 6.9 I had...
Damn good looking bullnose! Your friends, and your family are a blessings to be willing to help like that. You all did a wonderful job on that truck and I'm willing to bet with all that work it will last you a very long time. It should serve you well. I'm willing to bet you all have learned alot...
Looks pretty rough man. But I've been fooled before looking at a piston or cylinder before, especially looking at it still dirty. I'd clean it up and il second what @IDIBRONCO said
Alternater took a dump? Time for the 3g swap! Lol. I just recently jumped into that bandwagon so super impressed still. I think putting on the cdr will help with alot. I also agree with @IDIBRONCO on the ip timing. The turbo should be cleaning a good bit of that coal up. Maybe adjust the...
Even on the bull and brick u can use auto column. I have an 85 auto column in my 91 zf. As far as obs (92-94) I'm not sure if they will accept earlier year columns, but auto to manual they are fine.
I have seen some rotory style db pumps on large 4cylinder residential house back up generators. They even say stanadyn on them. But as far as how useful they are I am unaware
