"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

Hate to ask this, but have you done a compression test? How many miles are on the engine? Poor compression will cause a hard start regardless of fuel system condition. Faster starter/better glow plugs could mask/ help the situation but that may not be the real problem. I forget.... is this an...

    Jimmy Cone Cruise Night 8/17

I was going to show up around 4:30. It’s a big parking lot. There’s a southern states and a grocery store opposite the ice cream place. What we did last time seemed to work. If that row is open that’s probably where I’ll go. There’s a bump up in the of the lot up from the ice cream place. We...

    hydroboost troubleshooting help

Be careful adding a big cooler. I looked at using the trans loop in the rad and I think it was bikemaker said he tried that and had starvation issues. I pump issue could explain what you are seeing. Sounds like you are aerating the fluid at high RPM.

    Design for a 3,000 W inverter install.

In that scenario, I think you’re golden. I don’t know what minifridges pull these days. If you do a thermoelectric they don’t pull much. No compressor to run.

    Design for a 3,000 W inverter install.

I spent a lot of time thinking about this. I guess it depends on why you are doing it. If you want to run power tools etc. for short periods that’s probably enough capacity but you may need to look at starting marine batteries instead of deep cycle if you need all 3000W. That’s ~250 amps. Deep...

V-belt A/C compressor bracket installed pics.

I had originally planned on making a set by grafting a set of script valve covers to an IDI but figured it wasn’t worth the time and expense and having to cut up a good set of script valve covers. So decal it is. Fits nice though.

V-belt A/C compressor bracket installed pics.

It is currently on the truck. I may have one I can get toon my other engine. @Thewespaul probably has one in his pile one in his pile of stuff. Several folks here have ditched the V belts. Not sure how the AC compressor mount changes from SERP to V.

Front view. Rear view sans the compressor. That’s the best I have.

Not sure which axle seal to get

Seal Bearing Race. Bearing Race. The races and bearings I think are reversed. I think the second race is for the first bearing and vice versa. One of the bearings is the same as one of the front wheel bearings on the D50/60 if memory serves.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I don’t know about where you are but I’m pretty sure in some states line locks in street cars are illegal. If you have to pass state inspection it could be an issue. Personally I’ve considered it myself for as bad as the parking brakes are in these things.

    Steering column help

Sorry I’m late to the party. If this is a pre-92 tilt column, I think my manuals have a full exploded view. I did mine. The pins are threaded 10-32 I believe. I threaded bolts in and pulled them with pliers and a hammer. Going back together is tough. You need 3 hands and a tail yo get all the...
