    Or conversely, is there an area we are trying to stay in? If you look at different satellite maps some show trees on all the pull through spots and some show no trees on the back row of pull through spots. I’m guessing the trees have been removed because subtraction is faster than addition...

    My vote is this but anything up front can make noise. Bolt falls out of somerthing. Battery hold down loose. Lots of possibilities.

    I think I went to Lowe’s and matched them up. But now I’m not sure because I bought service kits (stupidly) for the bolts. Lowe’s usually has a fair supply in the hardware bins. Otherwise measure it and order a bag of 50 for the same price.

    If you are going to put it under the dually, If you’re like me, you won’t use the 4x4 that much so the “condition” of the gears may have more tolerance than you’d want for the rear axle. Just a thought.

    As if you didn’t need more guidance. RUN AWAY SCREAMING!!! My truck was a plow truck and I don’t think it’s was that bad. Those trucks rusted really bad.

    I think the KP axle is generally considered stronger but for what you’re doing it’s probably a wash. I’d go KP just so you don’t have to re- gear. The hubs I think are compatible. I don’t think the outer components changed but I can’t be sure.

    I’m hoping I’ve found it. That and the area found it seems pretty sooty. More than I remember so I suspect this has gotten worse. I’ve always suspected a leak there but it seems worse now. Fingers crossed that’s all it is.

    Wow. Something MD isn’t the worst about. My county isn’t too bad as long as you are building in the “back yard”. Still had to pull permits but it wasn’t really too bad. Geeze.

    Making it worse when I step on it makes me wonder if the advance in the pump is exacerbating an injector. I dunno but we will find out. I may toss some atf to it just to see what it does if I don’t fine an exhaust leak. What I don’t want is to be half way to NH with the camper and my block ends...
