    I don't have much to add besides agreeing with @u2slow that you should run the positive cable straight to the starter, and from the starter back up to your OE hook ups. Of course you can delete the positive on the driver's side and bolt that negative to frame or tie into the passenger side...

    That's a ton of wear on those brushes for just a year. Maybe bad Chinesium brushes? The copper on the commutator looks fine from this angle. I'd definitely run new brushes, a light sanding of the copper and send it. They are supposed to be good units... check wire continuity while wiggling them...

    +1 on that. I had the fancier and much pricier NAPA riveted shoes on my pickup, kept locking up the rears on dry ground not even trying... after tons of adjusting and thinking I just got the O'reilly ones that worked perfectly out of the box and no issues since.

    ATF is technically a very thin oil, so the standard filter will work great! :Thumbs Up I wonder how often you'd have to change one... a normal slush-bucket filter is little more than a screen so it wouldn't pack up with fine bits. Nice score on the ATS pan! That thing is a nice unit.

    I agree. Just cause I've been known to think outside the box a time or two, I've actually pop-tested my injectors IN the engine. Twice! Saves a bunch of time if they are OK. Edit: And if you find a bad one, you only need to pull one, theoretically. :Thumbs Up
