Say what you want about the GS gauge pod but it works fine for me. Got the quad pillar pod and no issues.
Not the best picture but all I got at the moment.
Smokes less than before? :eek::eek::eek:.
I seem to recall a stretch of highway going to Cades Cove that is probably close to mosquito free at the moment.:Thumbs Up
(i might have had a hand in that too)
Well I was a little slow getting back here to report but I had a great time at the rally. Was having so much fun (except for a bit on Thursday when the rain was bad) that I didn't even bother taking any pictures for the most part.
Was great seeing the people I met last year as well as meeting...
Hola'. Just checking on the convoy's progress. Let me know what time ya'll think you'll be around exit 150. If you don't need to stop I'll just hop on 81 as you go by.
Some of the stuff, I'm guessing an adhesive of some sort, is still on the carpet. It scrapes off to some degree so I'll keep working on it here and there.
Exit at mile 150 on 81. Take 220 towards Lynchburg/Bedford. At the intersection to 460, about 5 miles down, veer right. Walmart is up the hill on the right at the next light. They also have fuel and there is a Lowes there too.
And about breakfast I spoke too soon.
My awesome girlfriend who has...
So yesterday turned onto a bit of a big day for me. Got the rest of the interior in that's going in right now. It's been a long time since I started the interior restoration but it's come out well.
Here is a picture of the original carpet as I was tearing things down.
I used a scrubby brush...
So my best suggestion would be to stop at White's on exit 205 in Raphine Va. It's a bit before Roanoke, about 60 miles, but you will have much better options for food.
It's the wrong way for me but I can meet up with you after you stop.
Okay so the dash is finally done. Truck has been started and everything works.
It took way more time than it should have but I work a little slow sometimes.
Here are the results.
Tomorrow morning I've got some help and we'll be reinstalling the carpet and the rest of the...
Oh it would in no way stop me from attending. Hope I didn't come across that way.
I've just been working hard towards having the 93 ready. I've not finished my interior resto yet that was started in November. Way behind the curve so it's a matter of pride mainly to drive the Ford.
If my GF was...
Next update.
Today was a pivotal day. The plan has been to leave for the rally next Saturday so I need to make steady and significant progress for this truck to be driveable by then.
Failure would mean driving this.
Not a bad way to travel but I don't want to show up in a Cummins at the IDI...
Thanks. I'm glad someone besides me is getting some enjoyment from it. Plus it just helps to have a running dialog of a project like this. Helps keep you on track.
Nevermind. I got it. Once I located the hole for the pin on the harness, it was on the black plastic abs part, it dropped in. The harness is still sandwhiched between the bracket and dash but itxs always been like that so oh well.
Okay well some of you may have been following my rehab thread and know the dash came out, I fixed the janky stuff, repainted it and now it's going back in. Except one issue.
I seem to have screwed up the wiring routing for the steering column. Not sure how as I didn't physically remove that...
Alright so more dash progress today.
Got things glassed and was about ready to paint. I needed to remove the bolts near the defrost vents before painting. Well when I went to unscrew the right most bolt the mount on the internal housing broke off. Damnit.
I wasn't originally intending on...
